‘Diablo 3’ Season 10 Ending Soon, Cross-Game Promotion Points To ‘Rise Of The Necromancer’ Release

Climb the leaderboards a little higher and finish any conquests before Season 10 of Diablo 3 ends on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The latest season is ending on June 23, giving players one last chance to complete any seasonal tasks. Like previous seasons, all seasonal characters and accomplishments will transfer to a player’s non-seasonal progress once the season ends.

Items, gold, Paragon experience, Blood Shards, and other feats move when a season ends. These items and progress transfer seamlessly to the non-seasonal portion of Diablo 3. Players need to simply check their non-seasonal mail after the season ends to find their items from the latest season. As noted on the official site, even recipes and Kanai’s Cube powers are moved from their season to their non-seasonal counterparts.

With this being the first season on consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will need to visit the mailbox in any town location to pick up their seasonal items. PC players will continue to receive their items via the mail icon at the bottom of their screens. Players will have 30 days after the season ends to pick up their transferred items. Achievements and stash space that were not previously unlocked are also moved if they are earned during the season.

Diablo 3 items are directly relocated and will need to be picked up by the player. Paragon levels earned during the season will transfer differently, however. Paragon levels earned in a season do not move to a player’s non-seasonal Paragon level at a one-to-one ratio. Instead, the amount of Paragon experience earned moves from the season to the non-seasonal total.

“For example, if your Seasonal heroes reached Paragon 300, but your current non-Seasonal heroes are already Paragon 400, your new non-Seasonal Paragon level will still be less than Paragon 700, since higher Paragon levels take more experience to earn.”

Season 10 ends on June 23 and Season 11 begins on July 20. The upcoming season should begin on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One simultaneously. In the interim, players can continue playing their non-seasonal characters making progress on that section of the game. It is also possible that the Rise of the Necromancer DLC will be released before Season 11 begins.

A new cross-game promotion between Diablo 3 and Heroes of the Storm starts this week as a celebration of the Necromancer’s arrival to the action RPG. The event is also coinciding with the release of Malthael in Heroes of the Storm, but makes specific mention of the Necromancer’s arrival in Diablo 3 on the MOBA’s website. Players can start earning rewards in both games after the Heroes of the Storm maintenance this week.

“To celebrate Malthael’s entrance to the Nexus, as well as the Necromancer making his way out of the Eastern Swamps and into Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, we’ve struck an accord with the Aspect of Death himself. Agree to his bargain, complete his task, and reap… rewards!”

Playing 15 games in Heroes of the Storm this week will unlock a mount and an epic chest in the MOBA. Additionally, players that complete these matches will also receive Ghost Kerrigan Wings in Diablo 3. The 15 matches needed to unlock these rewards can be completed in the Vs AI mode, Quick Match, Ranked, and Unranked Draft.

Players should note that the Ghost Kerrigan Wings will be available after completing the matches once the 2.6 update is live on Diablo 3. At this time, there is no firm release date for the 2.6 update or the Rise of the Necromancer DLC. Like promotions between other Blizzard Entertainment titles, console players should be able to unlock these items if they have linked their Battle.net account to their platform.

As the Inquisitr reported, the Rise of the Necromancer DLC will add the new Necromancer class and new cosmetic items. The paid DLC will include the Half-formed Golem non-combat pet, the Wings of the Crypt Guardian back piece, the Blood Master Pennant back piece, the Necromancer portrait, and Necromancer banner accents. Additional stash space and character slots are also part of the Diablo 3 DLC.
