‘Teen Mom OG’ Secrets: Simon Saran Reveals How Little The Significant Others Get Paid For Reunion Specials

Teen Mom OG’s Simon Saran might like to call himself a troll, but the reality TV star has dropped some major truth bombs on social media that most of the other stars have either avoided due to their contracts or aren’t comfortable spilling.

After accusing Teen Mom OG producers of supplying Maci Bookout’s ex, Ryan Edwards, with pills to keep him shooting the show, he recently revealed the tiny salary the significant others receive for coming to New York City and shooting the reunion special.

As Farrah Abraham’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, with his own Being Simon special, Saran was invited to appear on the special. However, he declined to attend, as did Amber Portwood’s on-again, off-again fiancé, Matt Baier. It was revealed that Baier had decided to skip the taping because he was having surgery (which admittedly is odd since the filming took place on a Sunday) and not because of any problems he was having with Amber.

Fans assumed Simon Saran was skipping the filming because Farrah stated that the pair is no longer together despite their recent romantic trip to Jamaica. But a text message Simon posted and then deleted from Teen Mom OG producers shows that the businessman might have more on his mind than Farrah, and his absence might be money motivated.

According to the text message he posted and then deleted from his Twitter account, the Teen Mom OG star was offered $250 for a day of filming, plus travel, hotel, and a per diem. A per diem is what is referred to in the industry as a stipend to get food throughout the day.

Simon Saran revealed the text message conversation with one of the producers, to which he replied “LOL” with a laughing crying face emoji.

He did not reveal if this was the same amount the other significant others made for their filming or how much the mothers on Teen Mom OG received for filming. He also did not specify how long it took to film a reunion special, as a several hours long filming process might actually break down to a small amount per hour.

Since Saran was a no-show, he also missed Farrah Abraham’s 26th birthday bash, which took place at a hotel in New York City. Farrah was criticized for allowing her 8-year-old daughter, Sophia, to come with her to the party, which looked pretty adults-only from the photos.

Farrah Abraham was recently the subject of several rumors stating that she and Simon were expecting a baby together and were engaged. However, the mother of one has recently clarified that although the pair did look cozy in their vacation pictures, they are just friends. In fact, Farrah will be filming a new reality series because, of course, when she jets around the world to find love, fans are interested in her.

In the most recent episode of Teen Mom OG, Farrah Abraham went on a date with an Israeli reality show hopper, and Simon took the time to diss the man on his social media.

Simon Saran doesn’t hold back when it comes to his thoughts on Teen Mom OG or the people in Farrah’s life. He recently proclaimed that he was the only person in his girlfriend’s world who actually cared about her and went on a long Twitter rampage against her mother, Debra Danielsen.

Farrah and Debra already share a contentious relationship and haven’t been speaking much in the past few months. Debra revealed that she wanted her daughter to date someone who wasn’t a gold digger; throwing low-key shade at Simon. Angrily, Simon lashed out, calling his “mother-in-law” a dumb hooker.
