WWE Rumors: New Concept Art Shows That A WWE Theme Park With Superstar-Themed Rides Could Be In The Works

Harry Potter, Disney movies, marine life, and even Nintendo have or will have theme parks and rides modeled after them and their characters, but WWE? It would not be beyond the range of Vince McMahon’s mind to want to dive into the world of theme parks, and it seems as if a WWE theme park may already be in the works. With the release of some new concept art from a design company called FORREC, you can now imagine taking a ride on the Triple H Sledgehammer.

While it doesn’t sound like something that anyone may have heard of before, a WWE-branded theme park could become a reality in the future. The international design company known as FORREC has apparently been in discussion with the wrestling giant to bring superstar-themed park attractions to life.

The early prospective designs and development detailed in the publication from FORREC state that they have studied the WWE Network, the fans, and the superstars with their signature moves. If things continue to move forward, there are fans who could experience attractions based on Triple H, The Undertaker, The Rock, and more.

Some new concept art has even been released to show an in-ring thrill ride and the “Road to WrestleMania.”

While there are not a lot of details about any of the possible attractions that could be part of a WWE theme park or any other park, there are some interesting names for them. FORREC has released a number of possible names for these rides, and they are as follows.

  • Moonsault
  • Suplex City (Brock Lesnar)
  • Triple H Sledgehammer
  • Rock Bottom (The Rock)
  • NXT Bootcamp
  • Royal Rumble

Another idea being thrown around is a fun-house with a theme based off of Andre the Giants. All good theme parks need to have some frightening moments too, and that is why a “WWE House of Horrors” is also an idea which would include superstars like The Undertaker and the Boogeyman.

According to Wrestling Inc., the “Road to WrestleMania” would be a dark ride and can actually be compared to The Sum of All Thrills which closed just last year at Epcot in Walt Disney World.

FORREC has revealed that they made sure that “stepping into every WWE attraction” is “as thrilling as stepping into the ring itself.” They have also provided WWE with “scalable attractions” which could be placed inside outdoor theme parks as well as indoor venues.

During WrestleMania 33 weekend in Orlando, WWE received a lot of attention for their roller coaster set design. It was huge and caught the eyes of many people as it was right in the middle of one of the biggest theme park cities in the world.

While this is just an idea at this point with some concept art, FORREC states that it is intended for a global market and wherever WWE finds a spot for it, the park could be built.

Orlando Weekly is reporting that it wouldn’t be out of the question to see Vince McMahon build a WWE theme park in Orlando one day. There is a huge WWE fanbase in Central Florida, and plenty of tourists already head there for Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and more.

At this time, it seems as if the idea of a WWE theme park and superstar-themed rides is very early in the developmental stages, but it is at least out there. This concept art shows that FORREC and Vince McMahon have moved past this being just an idea and something that may actually become a reality. With the popularity of WWE and its superstars, it seems as if the promotion may really run with the attention that the WrestleMania 33 roller coaster set design received.
