Emily Kenny who portrayed Beth, one of the few characters who came close to a romantic link with Norman Reedus’ Daryl, was at Walker Stalker Con 2017. Scott Wilson, who portrayed her father, Hershel, along with Steven Yeun and Michael Cudlitz were also among The Walking Dead’s former stars present at Nashville’s Walker Stalker Con.
Scott Wilson, who portrayed Hershel, spoke to crowds at length. Scott got a bit choked up reminiscing about his death on The Walking Dead. Wilson also recalled the moment Hershel realized the people in the barn were incurable. The video of Hershel’s on stage interview is below.

The Walking Dead with Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln has a big season planned beginning with Episode 100, which is a huge deal for cast and fans alike. The Season 8 premiere is guaranteed to deliver “All Out War.”
Norman Reedus has been pretty tight-lipped about the new season, but then this time of year Reedus usually is. A few of the newbies had a bit to say, though.
Ross Marquand, who portrays Aaron on The Walking Dead, said he’s been blown away by every episode so far, according to Movie Fone.
“I think with what we’re capturing so far I think it’s going to be the best season so far of the show. I think it’s so, so well crafted. I think it is going to raise the stakes even higher than the show has ever gone before, which is saying a lot considering the stake-rising we’ve been doing every single year for the last seven.”
The Walking Dead’s Steven Ogg, who portrays Simon, told ComicBook the recently filmed Episode 100 is going to be epic.
“Yeah, it’s a big, big show. I mean I really didn’t think about the one hundred thing so much as it’s, where it says it’s all out war, you definitely get that. Oh yeah. It’s all out war.”
The Walking Dead Spoilers Ahead
Scott Gimple told ComicBook it wasn’t just about Season 8 or Episode 100, though. Scott is thinking ahead. Gimple projects the plot many seasons into the future.
“What I’m hoping for the season premiere to be next year is the kick-off of the next 100 episodes. The promise of more story and another future. Every eight episodes we try to reinvent ourselves and we’re gonna try and do it again.”
The Walking Dead’s Three New Cast Members
It’s rumored that Maria Bello could be joining the cast of The Walking Dead. There are also two new male stars slated for Season 8, who are yet to be revealed. One will be a Muslim-American and the other a sexy blue collar type in his 20s.
Will Norman Reedus feel a bit of heartthrob competition with the new guy? Could a new The Walking Dead heartthrob be on the horizon?
Negan’s Backstory on The Walking Dead
Norman Reedus’ favorite riding buddy Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been quite the villain on The Walking Dead, but finally, viewers will learn what made Negan who he is. There will be an episode or two, sometime after Episode 100, explaining Negan’s past. It will probably come in the form of a prequel, though it could be accomplished in a series of flashbacks.
Andrew Lincoln, who portrays Rick Grimes, has reportedly been shooting scenes at the Sanctuary set, according to Digital Spy. Does this mean the survivors will challenge Negan on his own turf?
The Walking Dead Season 8: Who Dies?
It’s being strongly rumored that at least one The Walking Dead character from Season 1 will die in Season 8. Season 1 veterans are a pretty small and elite group, though.
Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, and Lauren Cohan as Daryl, Carol, and Maggie are the three who seem most at risk if this is true. Andrew Lincoln and Chandler Riggs are among the veterans as well, though. Norman Reedus fans won’t likely tolerate anything happening to Daryl, though.
There is some indication that Rick, portrayed by Andrew Lincoln, will die, laying down his life for the group, but perhaps not in Season 8. There is nothing definite on a veteran character’s death, though, only strong rumors.
Norman Reedus’ Daryl of The Walking Dead and other Season 1 veterans will hopefully survive Season 8.
