Lindsay Lohan Launches Jewelry Line Amidst Criticism

Lindsay Lohan has worn many hats over the years and now the actress turned nightclub owner-model-DJ-designer has now decided to open her own jewelry line. Lohan’s rep confirms the Herbie Fully Loaded star’s jewelry line is “in the works.”

Lohan has made several public appearances in the south of France and has recently attended the Cannes Film Festival. In addition to this, Lohan has been spotted at the Monaco Grand Prix in between posting several yacht shots on her Instagram. Lohan has captioned each post, “#Lohanjewellery.”

Lohan posted a second photo posing in a hot pink Balmain blazer minidress and what appeared to be hotel slippers also uses the hashtag,”#LohanJewellery” however no other details are mentioned.

Several years ago, Lindsay dropped an album and as recent as two years ago, she designed a collection for British brand Lavish Alice. Now, the 30-year-old is happy to share that she is launching a jewelry line.

The jewelry industry would be an interesting route for Lohan considering she was accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from an L.A. jeweler back in 2011. Lindsay tried on several pieces of pricey jewelry before leaving a jewelry store still wearing a $2,500 necklace she hadn’t paid for.

The star reportedly displayed $3,000 in cash while going back and forth over a $3,600 ring before she walked out wearing a yellow diamond necklace. This alleged heist landed her in court on felony grand theft charges.

Earlier this month, Lindsay Lohan was ordered to pay nearly $30,000 after she was hit with a default judgment on May 3, according to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail. Back in 2015, former NYC driver, Edson Ricci, sued the Mean Girls actress and accused her not paying him while he worked for her. The driver sent multiple invoices for payment to Lohan that totaled $43,900. The bill was for his services were from August 21, 2012, until October 23, 2012.

Ricci claimed Lindsay Lohan never disputed the amount that was owed to him. According to the Daily Mail, Ricci claimed Lohan sent a check for $17,500, leaving an unpaid balance of $26,400. Ricci proceeded to sue Lohan for the entire $26,400 owed for transportation services plus Lohan’s hotel bill for a total of $27,839.18, with interest included.

Ricci said he was hired by Lohan to provide not only her transportation services for her but also for her family, friends, and business associates, according to the Daily Mail. Lohan revealed her former Hollywood struggles on the John Bishop: In Conversation With… show. Lindsay Lohan, who was once one of the highest-paid actresses in the world, said she can no longer employ a chauffeur because they are “expensive.”

The NYC chauffeur claimed despite numerous demands he made to Lohan — she refused to pay invoices for transportation costs. He also included the cost for the times he loaned her money to pay her hotel bill. Ricci said she asked him to pay her hotel bill during a stay at the Soho Grand Hotel in New York. He agreed to front her the money and paid the $1,439.18 bill. He claims Lohan never paid him back for these particular expenses.

In October of 2016, Lohan was hit with a lawsuit in London after she stopped paying rent on her $4.5 million apartment.

This didn’t stop Lohan from becoming the co-owner of LOHAN nightclub in Athens, Greece. LiLo’s guy friend, Dennis Papageorgiou, a Greek millionaire and restaurateur, named the hotspot after the Mean Girls star. Papageorgiou is the sole owner of the club but is giving Lohan co-ownership rights and a large bulk of the profits. A representative for the LOHAN told sources that Lohan and her boyfriend are expecting “famous guests from Hollywood” at the Athenian debut, according to TMZ.

A LOHAN spokesperson tells TMZ that Papageorgiou came up with the nightclub idea in July, the same month Lohan split from ex-fiance, Egor Tarabasov.

Lohan has a film due out later this year called The Shadow Within, in which the actress plays a private investigator forced to conceal the fact that she’s a descendant of werewolves.
