‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Faked Chloe’s Death Like Kelly’s

The Young and the Restless spoilers show us that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) seems to be dead as a doornail, but it’s a soap, so nothing is as it seems. You might have noticed that this is the second lunatic that was scheming with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that has died under mysterious circumstances. This Chloe situation is an awful lot like when Victor helped Kelly Andrews (Cady McClain) fake an overdose death then went on to hide her. It being another of Victor’s schemes would explain a lot of the flaws around this death.

1. Chloe Is Not Suicidal

The Young and the Restless history is clear that Chloe might be crazy, but she’s not suicidal. Sure, she didn’t want to go to prison or be institutionalized again, but she has never been one for self-harm. Above all else, Chloe is a survivor. Even when she ran down Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) with her car, she didn’t wind up in jail, and she knows she can always escape an institution.

Plus, Chloe has the trump card of Victor’s guilt by association in her scheme to take down Adam. No matter what, Chloe knew she could count on Victor to help her out, wherever she landed. The Young and the Restless spoilers showed Victor told the doctor to enact their alternate plan. Chloe thought she was in danger and pondered stabbing Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez). That’s someone who wants to live, not die.

2. Victor Wouldn’t Kill Chloe

Despite The Young and the Restless spoilers that make it seem like Victor and Dr. Harris were planning to end Chloe, that’s a ruse. Dr. Harris wouldn’t kill a patient, no matter the payday, and Victor isn’t a killer. Given that Chloe isn’t suicidal, as YR fans know, the only other option for her untimely “death” is that Dr. Harris forcibly overdosed her which wouldn’t happen for the reasons given above.

It’s far more likely that Victor is using the same exact plan he did with Kelly. A few years back on The Young and the Restless, Victor faked Kelly’s death with an overdose and showed Phyllis Abbott (Gina Tognoni) a photo of Kelly in the morgue. Victor even gave fake ashes to Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) to sell the lie. It seems that Victor is replaying the same plot once again. That’s the “nuclear option” to which Victor referred.

3. Chloe Knocked Out, Not Dead

This The Young and the Restless spoilers scheme relied on Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) finding Chloe’s body and blaming herself for the overdose. Dr. Harris made sure to imply strongly to Chelsea that it’s her fault for stalking Chloe. Those EMTs that came to collect Chloe’s “body” are very likely paid associates of Dr. Harris that are helping him carry out the con.

The ending shot of the episode with Chloe lying on the morgue table was masterful. What’s telling though is that the sheet wasn’t covering her face, as it usually is in the morgue. YR showed Chloe’s face because she’s about to wake up. The Young and the Restless spoilers promise that the CBS soap has no reason to kill off Chloe, so why would they? She’s a great character they can always bring back later.

4. Kevin Goes Dark After Chloe Reveal

Another exciting aspect of this The Young and the Restless spoilers plot is that after Chelsea breaks the news to Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) that Chloe is dead, it will send him back to his old dark roots. Kevin is already struggling under the burden of being an unexpected single dad, and after this news breaks him, Kevin turns to his mom for comfort, says Soaps She Knows. Since we know Greg Rikaart is done shooting at YR next month, this sets up his exit brilliantly.

Kevin will leave Genoa City in August, and this final storyline seems incredible. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kevin worried about Bella seeing her mother in prison or at an asylum and now he believes Bella will never see her mother again, and that’s too much for him. Kevin will kick off a revenge spree, and with Victor’s role in Chloe’s final days revealed, the Mustache could be his target.

5. Chloe, Kevin, and Bella Reunited

Ever since The Young and the Restless spoilers revealed that Greg Rikaart was leaving YR, it seemed clear that Kevin would somehow wind up back with Chloe, so their family was reunited. Victor’s clever (if repetitive) move of faking Chloe’s death will ensure that happens. Victor learned his lesson with Kelly. He faked her death then handed Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to her to torture, and it all blew up. This time is different.

Victor will tuck Chloe away somewhere safe and lets her know Kevin and Bella will be with her soon. When Kevin comes gunning for Victor, The Young and the Restless spoilers promise Victor has to let Kevin play at revenge for a while and then when things are about to explode, the Mustache will reveal Chloe is alive and they can all be together. Kevin and Bella will leave Genoa City and meet up with Chloe.

The fact that Victor is involved with Chloe’s death should be a red flag for all YR fans that something is amiss. No way would YR kill off a great character needlessly. Also, Chloe’s faked death sets the stage for a seamless exit story for Kevin and Bella and opportunities for all to return at some point. Father Todd Williams (Corbin Bernsen) is back to YR June 5-6, according to Soap Central, perhaps to officiate at Chloe’s funeral. We’ll know more soon about Chloe’s fate according to The Young and the Restless spoilers.
