Harry Styles Calls Manchester Bombing Victim Injured At Ariana Grande’s Concert, Tells Her He Loves Her

Harry Styles called Freya Lewis, a 14-year-old survivor of the Manchester Bombing over the weekend, and it totally made her day! Freya Lewis attended the May 22 date of Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman tour, and was affected by the blast that killed 22 concertgoers, and injured dozens more.

Thankfully, Freya survived, even though she sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in intensive care. According to the Manchester Evening News, Freya Lewis suffered from multiple fractures, lacerations, and burns due to shrapnel from the blast. The publication reports that medics performed CPR on Freya at the scene of the explosion before she was hauled away to the hospital for a 10-hour surgery–one of three so far.

Harry Styles apparently heard about Freya’s unfortunate situation and decided to do something to lift her spirits. The busy musician called Freya up and spoke to her on the phone, shortly after she woke up. Freya’s family has created a blog to update the public on her recovery. The blog which is hosted via her school’s, Holmes Chapel Comprehensive and Sixth Form in Cheshire, website shared the sweet exchange between Freya and Harry.

“Freya came around enough from sedation to look at her Dad, blow him a kiss and smile. Then Dad cried. ‘What could surpass that?’… Secondly, the phone rang, and it was Harry Styles. Freya woke up, Harry said he loved her, she said she loved him, then Dad said he loved him!”

The blog continued, “The PICU unit at Manchester Children’s Hospital has just been given a lift like you can not imagine! Harry, we salute you sir, Holmes Chapel is very proud of you!!!!”

We’re sure that Freya Lewis was grateful for Harry Style’s phone call. As she struggles to recover, Freya is also mourning the death of her best friend, Nell Jones, who tragically was killed from the explosion. Freya and Nell had been walking to meet Freya’s dad when the bomb was detonated. Sadly, Nell Jones did not survive the blast.

This isn’t the first time that Harry Styles has paid tribute to the bombing victims. Shortly after the Manchester bombing occurred, Harry Styles also paid tribute to the victims during one of his shows.

“Thank you so much for being here tonight. I know a lot of you have flown a long way. I really appreciate you being here,” Styles said to a sea of his fans.

When I booked this show, I wanted to celebrate with you guys. I’ve played some of my favorite shows in Mexico, and it felt right to come and celebrate with you, but tonight doesn’t feel like a night to celebrate. Last night, there was a tragedy in my hometown of Manchester, and I have been left with a hole in my heart.

He continued, “I went to my first show in the arena, and I’ve had some of the best experiences of my life playing in Manchester. We have a choice, every single day that we wake up, of what we can put into the world, and I ask you to please choose love every single day. I promise that we will be back very soon to Mexico with a full show, but tonight, if it’s OK with you, we’re going to play a small acoustic set. I hope you understand, and I hope you’ll join me in a moment of silence for the victims and for the families of the victims in Manchester today. Thank you for understanding. I love you very much.”
