‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Trailer Rumor: A-Wings, Admiral Holdo Scenes And More Revealed
The full trailer for Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi will give fans a better look at the new characters and the weaponry that will be used as the war between the First Order and the Resistance continues.
Exciting new information about the shots included in the highly-anticipated trailer was revealed by no other than the ever-ardent Star Wars watcher and YouTuber Mike Zeroh.
He said that the full Star Wars: Episode 8 trailer will give fans a look at the machines used by the two camps in Star Wars: Episode 8 starting off with close-up shots of the Heavy Assault Walkers to be utilized by the First Order.
These are basically meaner and deadlier versions of the All-Terrain Armored Transport or AT-AT Walkers first seen in action in Star Wars: Episode 5 – Empire Strikes Back during the Battle of Hoth.
These First Order Heavy Assault Walkers, which are armed to the teeth making them much more difficult to destroy, will be seen firing their blasters in The Last Jedi trailer. They were recently revealed in leaked images of the Star Wars: Episode 8 Lego Set picked up by Star Wars Net.
Fans were already treated with a glimpse of the massive weapons in first teaser trailer during the battle in Crait although they were only in the background and were too far from view.
Nevertheless, the Heavy Assault Walkers will be part of the major space battle in the film and will definitely reinforce the First Order’s arsenal. Crait is one of the headquarters to be used by the Resistance in Star Wars: Episode 8. They are guarding some sort of valuable mine there, something that the First Order is looking to destroy.
Speaking of the battle, the Resistance will make use of the Resistance Bombers for this showdown. These are the starfighters shown at the end of the first Star Wars: Episode 8 teaser trailer.
These machines will be featured in the Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi full trailer as well. In fact, Zeroh says that Admiral Holdo (Laura Dern) will be shown aboard one of these Resistance Bombers.
The space battle scenes in the trailer will also show X-wings, TIE fighters and to many fans’ surprise and delight, A-wings, which were last seen in Star Wars: Episode 6 – Return of the Jedi.
Those who missed these starfighters on the silver screen will definitely be in for a treat in Star Wars: Episode 8 as they will once again get to see the A-wings back in action.
The piece of information about the Star Wars: Episode 8 trailer that does not have to do with the weaponry in The Last Jedi is the inclusion of a scene featuring Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) standing on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean.
Finally, fans will also be treated to a glimpse of the casino city Canto Bight at night in the Star Wars: Episode 8 trailer. The creatures there, which were shown in first look The Last Jedi images provided by Vanity Fair, will be seen fleeing in panic, which suggests that the place will be under attack.
The Last Jedi trailer will not show Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis), one of the most mysterious characters introduced in Star Wars: Episode 7 – The Force Awakens. Benicio Del Toro’s man in black codenamed “DJ” will be nowhere to be seen in it too.
Zeroh previously teased, however, that new character Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) will also be seen in action in the trailer, which is expected to be released in July.
Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi will be in cinemas December 15.
