What Will Kailyn Lowry’s ‘Teen Mom 2’ Spinoff Be About? It Doesn’t Involve Baby Daddy Chris Lopez

Kailyn Lowry is headed for her own show and on Twitter on May 24, she teased fans about the potential concept.

Earlier this month, after confirming Chris Lopez had fathered her third child, the Teen Mom 2 star took to Twitter, where she responded to a fan who wondered when she would be getting her own show by revealing the project was already in the works. Weeks later, she responded to a fan site’s post about which Teen Mom 2 star they’d like to see get their own show.

“Whose [Teen Mom 2] spin-off would you watch? Vote here for your fave!” Wetpaint Entertainment wrote to their fans and followers on Twitter earlier this week.

On May 23, the outlet published a report and noted that Kailyn Lowry would surely have enough content between all of her baby daddy drama for her own show. They also said that the series was already given a name, Kail and the Chaos. However, according to a recent tweet from Kailyn Lowry, she’d prefer to do something based on her efforts to get back into shape after her third child, not something that would chronicle the hardships she’s endured due to her numerous baby daddies.

“I would want to do something about getting my pre baby back,” Chelsea Houska wrote in response to Wetpaint Entertainment’s tweet.

“Me too!” Kailyn Lowry added.

In their poll, which questioned readers about which Teen Mom 2 star they’d like to see move on to their own show, Houska took a whopping 59 percent of the vote while Kailyn Lowry got less than 20 percent.

Months ago, Kailyn Lowry threw out the idea of a show starring only her and Chelsea Houska, rather than the Teen Mom 2 series, which also featured Jenelle Evans and Leah Messer.

“I still think me & @ChelseaHouska should have our own show,” she tweeted last November.

Kailyn Lowry is currently expecting her third child with former boyfriend Chris Lopez, who she dated for just a short time after splitting from husband Javi Marroquin and Chelsea Houska recently welcomed her second child with husband Cole DeBoer.

In addition to Kailyn Lowry’s recent tweets about her allegedly upcoming series, Jenelle Evans has also hinted at her own show. In recent weeks, the mother of three has shared a couple of tweets teasing fans of the possibility but hasn’t yet revealed any solid plans for a show of her own.

Kailyn Lowry may not be planning to invite Chris Lopez to join her on her potential new show but if MTV has it their way, Lopez will eventually make a guest appearance on Teen Mom 2. Although he hasn’t yet signed onto the series, a report by the Ashley’s Reality Roundup suggested months ago that the network was desperate to have him come aboard.

“Most of the [boyfriend and girlfriends of the stars of the show] just want to be on TV, and are excited to get a little fame, so they instantly agree to go on,” a source explained to the outlet. “This guy has been different. He doesn’t want all the headache that comes with being on the show. He doesn’t want to get picked apart and give up his privacy.”

“I’d imagine they’ll keep increasing the amount until he agrees or tells them to f**k off,” the source added.

Kailyn Lowry and her co-stars, including Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, and Chelsea Houska, are currently in production on the eighth season of Teen Mom 2. No word yet on when the show will return to MTV.
