Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Avoids Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie’s Split By Playing Basketball Not True [Debunked]
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, along with the rest of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s impressive flock of children, has grown up in the public spotlight. Recently, Shiloh was seen playing basketball. One publication used the sight of the little girl enjoying the outside sport to allege that she had chosen it to avoid Jolie’s and Pitt’s split, however. But a fact-checking report is debunking that allegation about Shiloh when it comes to Brad and Angelina’s split.
On May 25, Radar Online published a headline, “Shooting Hoops! Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Avoids Parents’ Nasty Split With Basketball.” The publication told readers that Shiloh had been seen “enjoying a short sports session in Malibu this week while shooting a few hoops with the family nanny and sister Vivienne.”
Shiloh has been spotted on several occasions wearing what the publication described as “boys’ clothing,” and her casual style choice for basketball caused Radar to claim that Jolie and Pitt’s daughter is “still all about boys’ clothing.” While the 10-year-old allegedly occupied herself with playing basketball, her sister Vivienne, 8, reportedly was seen relaxing by the hoops court with their dogs.
Radar noted that both Shiloh and Vivienne “seemed to be in high spirits despite family drama,” reporting that the sisters’ parents, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, “are still embroiled in a shocking split.” The publication also quoted an insider on the alleged impact of the divorce on Pitt.
“Brad showed up to a premiere looking gaunt,” claimed the source. “Clearly, he’s losing sleep — and weight — over his split from Angelina Jolie.”
Radar concluded the article on Shiloh, Jolie, and Pitt by posing a question to readers.
“Do you think Shiloh still wants to see Brad?” demanded the publication.
Gossip Cop responded to Radar Online’s report on May 25, pointing out that the only real news is that “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was photographed by paparazzi as she played basketball.” The publication alleged that because “there’s really nothing newsworthy about it,” Radar Online chose to take the photos of Shiloh and “manufacture fake news” by bringing in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce.
Analyzing the headline alleging that Jolie-Pitt was shooting hoops to avoid Brad and Angelina’s “nasty split,” Gossip Cop questioned how basketball relates to Pitt and Jolie’s breakup. How could Shiloh bouncing a basketball outside serve as evidence that she’s avoiding her parents’ split?
Is any of the story true? Gossip Cop noted that the other publication’s story contains some “pretty straight-forward” information, including the sighting of Jolie-Pitt shooting hoops “with the family nanny and sister Vivienne” in Malibu. However, Gossip Cop described the comment about Shiloh being “still all about boys’ clothing” as a “pointed observation.”
While the report that Shiloh and Vivienne appeared to be in “high spirits” seems positive, the rehashed rumors about Jolie and Pitt didn’t relate to their daughters’ outside play. And the question of whether Shiloh “still wants to see Brad” makes the story conclude “bizarrely,” pointed out Gossip Cop.
Radar Online did not provide valid information on “whether Shiloh is or isn’t seeing” Pitt, or her feelings on Jolie and Pitt’s breakup, concluded Gossip Cop. As for Radar’s headline alleging that Jolie-Pitt was playing hoops to “avoid” Brad’s and Angelina’s allegedly “nasty split,” there’s no evidence of the claim, noted the publication.
Gossip Cop also described Radar Online as having previously created stories based on paparazzi photos, “with the webloid just making guesses and assumptions, or spinning nonsense.” However, in this case, the story reportedly is “exploiting” a child, who turns 11 on Saturday, noted the publication.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children may have grown accustomed to being followed by paparazzi eager to shoot their pictures, but Gossip Cop expressed concern that those photos “are then used for fake news to score traffic.”
