‘The Bachelorette’ Spoilers: Rachel Lindsay ‘Ruins’ The Season In Comical Video
Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay made a video to further “spoil” her season of the popular dating show. The reality star has taken some heat for “ruining” her own season of the show by confirming that she is indeed engaged, which some fans think is something that should be kept a secret until the show’s finale airs.
Lindsay has been very open and honest about finding love on the show and she previously said that she simply couldn’t keep the exciting news in — so Bachelorette producers allowed her to spill the news way ahead of time, which is something that hasn’t really been done before. Most Bachelorette stars are forced to stay quiet and not give much of anything away during various interviews throughout their season.
“We keep saying this is a season of firsts and I am so excited to be engaged and so happy, I don’t think I could hide it. So they’re like, ‘Rachel, just say it!’ [It’s] very liberating to be able to say, ‘Hey, I’m engaged and just watch and follow along,'” Rachel told E! News.
Well, it has all changed for Rachel Lindsay! Not only has she admitted that she is engaged, spoiling some of the excitement, but the show itself has been spoiling some things way too early for some fans. On Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor, Rachel Lindsay was still vying for his love when she was announced as the new Bachelorette. Many people who were rooting for Rachel and Nick were upset to hear that she didn’t win his heart and that she’d be sent home heartbroken before actually getting to see that on television.
Nowadays, you don’t have to check Reality Steve’s website unless you want to know the exact names of the people being sent home and in what order. And Rachel Lindsay gets that. It’s why she decided to spoil things even more.
In a funny video posted by E! News, Lindsay reveals some more “serious” spoilers about her season of The Bachelorette. In the video (below), Lindsay lets everyone know what they can expect from her and the guys in the next few weeks and (spoiler alert) it’s all stuff you probably saw coming. The video was simply a way for Lindsay to have some fun with the negativity surrounding her decision to spill her engagement news. She clearly has a great sense of humor!
As for how things are going for Lindsay and her new man, she seems absolutely in love and very happy. The two are navigating the world of secrecy after filming the show, but Lindsay sounds really positive about her choice.
“We do get to see each other here and there along the way, but it is hard because I am excited and I want everyone to know and enjoy and relish in our happiness,” she said.
It is well-known that couples leaving the Bachelorette engaged must stay completely out of the public eye until the finale of the show airs. That’s something that ABC isn’t willing to let Lindsay spoil! The two will have a few secret dates over the next several weeks and will be able to stay completely incognito with some help from people affiliated with the show. As long as the lovebirds don’t accidentally post something on Snapchat — like Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth did ahead of the finale during her season — everything will be smooth sailing!
