Possible In-Ring Return Date For Kurt Angle Finally Revealed, And It’s A Big One

Ever since Kurt Angle came back home to WWE, fans have wanted to know when he would get back in the ring, and it seems they may finally have their answer. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and shortly after, he was made the general manager of Monday Night Raw by Vince McMahon. Now, it seems as if his in-ring return may not come up at any point in the immediate future, but it will be on one of the biggest stages of them all.

In January, it was revealed that Kurt Angle was heading back to WWE as the headliner for the 2017 Hall of Fame class. From there, he ended up being named the new GM of Raw after Mick Foley was fired by Stephanie McMahon, and he’s doing a great job in the position.

Vince McMahon himself headed to the ring to announce that Angle was going to be the next general manager, and fans were thrilled about the reveal. As exciting as it was, fans still wanted more from the former world champion.

They wanted to see him wrestle, and they may get their wish.

According to Cageside Seats, Kurt Angle’s possible in-ring return for WWE looks to be on the books, but it won’t happen until WrestleMania 34. That is less than a year away, but it would be a huge deal for him to get back in the ring and wrestle at the big pay-per-view in New Orleans.

Nothing more has been said about who he would face or anything like that, but it is still quite early. Even then, it hasn’t been confirmed that he will ever wrestle for WWE again. However, he has said numerous times that he’d love to put on the tights and be active once again.

Angle just said that it is up to WWE, and he needs to wait and see if that’s what they want him to do.

Sportskeeda is reporting that the long delay in allowing Kurt Angle to wrestle again may be due to a number of reasons. First of all, there is the obvious concern for his health and how his body is doing, but he has said that he’s in great shape.

The other reason for the delay until WrestleMania 34 is that WWE may simply not know which opponent to give him. There are so many different possibilities for who he could get in the ring with, but plenty of time remains to make sure it is the perfect person.

If WrestleMania 34 ends up having a Kurt Angle match on the card, it will make the event even bigger than it is already expected to be. As previously reported by Inquisitr, the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live main events are already rumored to be in place.

  • WWE Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns
  • WWE Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

There are two huge matches already, but fans probably don’t care much for one of them and are thrilled about the other. If they really end up being upset about the Lesnar vs. Reigns match, it could be made up to them if Angle ends up with a great opponent.

If Kurt Angle is going to wrestle at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, he will be 49-years-old by the time he gets into the ring again. That isn’t necessarily ancient by any means, and many superstars have wrestled into their 50s and even 60s. Angle is doing very well as the general manager of Monday Night Raw, but he wants to wrestle. The fans want him to wrestle. If WWE clears him and has a program for him, you can be sure that it will happen.
