Rainn Wilson Pulls An Angus T. Jones: ‘Please Stop Watching The Office’ [Video]
Angus T. Jones has been the talk of the interwebs for his faith-based video appeal to the audience of Two and a Half Men in which he urged viewers to stop watching the show because it is “filth.” In a shot-for-shot remake spoof, Rainn Wilson begs viewers to do the same for The Office.
Rainn Wilson, who plays Dwight Schrute on NBC’s The Office, urges his audience to turn away from the show, Angus T. Jones style. Craig Robinson, Wilson’s co-star who plays Darryl, stands in for Angus’s controversial spiritual mentor Christopher Hudson.
Angus T. Jones has been making headlines for his bizarre testimonial video, encouraging viewers to stop watching Two and a Half Men, bemoaning his participation in the show he collects a $350,000-per-episode paycheck from. Chuck Lorre famously responded indirectly to Angus’s complaints in a vanity card for Mike & Molly, and rumors began to circulate that Angus was in violation of his contract on the show.
Yesterday, Angus issued a semi-apology for his faith-based rant, heaping praise upon Chuck Lorre and the producers of Two and a Half Men, and seemingly undoing everything he had said in his original video post.
Angus’s “spiritual mentor,” Christopher Hudson, has also received a fair share of press coverage, with controversial beliefs including his suggestion that President Obama is Hitler, that Jay-Z is a Satan worshiper, and that the gas shortages in New York City following Hurricane Sandy will cause mothers to turn on their children and eat them alive.
The Seventh-Day Adventist church has distanced itself from Hudson, who hosts The Forerunner Chronicles, a series of YouTube videos with an apocalyptic tone. They say that Hudson isn’t even a real pastor.
