’30 Rock’s’ Liz Lemon Is Officially Getting Married

Tina Fey’s wonderful comedic creation, Liz Lemon, is set to finally get married in an upcoming episode of NBC’s 30 Rock that will air on November 29.

Lemon will wed James Marsden’s Crisstopher Rick Chross, who owns an organic gourmet hot dog truck, with the program releasing an invitation for people to attend. The wonderful save the date invite features a large image of a lemon with a wedding ring on top plus Lemon’s notorious catchphrase, “What the What!?”

It says the matrimony will occur “On Thursday the 29th of November, 2012, at eight/seven central in the evening”. Howeverm it also insists, “But not in a creepy way that perpetuates the idea that brides are virgins and women are property. She’s 42. Whatever. It’s no big whoop.” Finally, it insists that those who attend should “Bring your own snacks.”

The unlucky in love Elizabeth seemed certain to remain a bachelorette for the remainder of the eighth and final season of the show. Her ex-boyfriends have included Matt Damon’s airline pilot Carol Burnett, the handsome yet dimwitted Dr. Drew Baird who was played by Jon Hamm, and the ever-present Dennis Duffy, who was portrayed by Dean Winters.

Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) and Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) have repeatedly assisted and hindered her romantic progress throughout the series, but she now seems to have settled down with the man of her dreams.

30 Rock’s wedding episode will also coincide with the matrimony of Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt from NBC’s other comedy Parks and Recreation, which airs at 9:30/8:30 CST on Thursday evenings too.
