I hear some people like this stuff: a Final Fantasy XIII trailer

I generally appreciate a fairly broad range of RPGs – everything from Etrian’s Odyssey to Skies of Arcadia – yet I never understood the love for Final Fantasy games. I even gave the revered Final Fantasy VII a good twenty hours before giving up, after it simply failed to hook me.

Does that make me odd? I’m in a minority, certainly.

So here’s something to please the majority: a Final Fantasy XIII trailer, fresh from the Tokyo Game Show. It’s a Final Fantasy game, so expect sky-high production values and androgynous heroes by the shedload. Actually, it looks bloody impressive.

And yet, I remain unmoved.
