Sammy Kershaw Bus Crash: Country Singer Involved In Tour Bus Accident

Country music star Sammy Kershaw gave fans a serious startle over the weekend when news came to light that the singer’s tour bus was involved in a major traffic accident.

Following a performance in Nocona, Texas on Friday, November 2, Sammy and his crew were traveling at a high speed down the interstate when they were hit by a passenger vehicle.

Kershaw, 54, did not sustain any injuries, though he and nine members of his band were a little banged up and traumatized by the accident, which caused a tremendous amount of damage to their bus. The driver of the passenger car, which was totaled, was seriously injured and remains in an Texas hospital.

Sammy took to Facebook Saturday to inform his fans he was alright:

“Thanking the good Lord up above. We were in a pretty bad bus accident last night in Nocona, Texas but everyone is okay including the lady that ran into the side of the bus. The lady’s car is a total loss and the bus is down for an undetermined amount of time, but those are the just things. We can replace those. Amen.”

He later released a statement which added:

“My guys and I are a little sore today… the third day is always the worst… I’m so thankful that the other driver, my band and crew are all still here. We had a guardian angel.”

According to TasteOfCountry.com, Kershaw, whose biggest hits include “I Can’t Reach Her Anymore” and “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” has not since canceled any concerts as a result of the accident and will use alternate methods of transportation until his bus is rolling again.

His latest Christmas album, “A Sammy Klaus Christmas,” hit stores last month.
