Jill Duggar Due Date: When Will Baby No. 2 Join The Duggar/Dillard Household?

Jill Duggar’s due date has not been formally announced. However, that has not stopped fans from speculating when the new member of the famous family will arrive.

As People reported on Tuesday, Jill and her husband, Derrick Dillard, announced this week that they’re expecting Baby No. 2. Although the happy couple didn’t announce the specific due date, they confirmed that their now-1-year-old son, Israel David, is going to be a big brother “in July.”

Speaking to People, Jill made it clear that she shares the opinions of her parents, Jim-Bob and Michelle Duggar, when it comes to having big families.

“Children really are a wonderful blessing from God. Having Israel has been such a delight to us that we know a second sweet baby will only continue to add joy to our family. We are thankful to God for this sweet child and we cannot wait to see her or him face to face!”

Back in a 2015 episode of Jill and Derrick’s show Counting On, Jill said that she and Derrick were already looking towards siblings for Israel David.

“I think it will be good for him, too. He’ll learn to share.”

In fact, they’re looking beyond their July due date to even more kids beyond Baby No. 2: Derrick Dillard, whose mother was adopted, says that adoption holds a very special place in his family’s heart, and they are considering adopting more kids at some point.

“We both think it’s a wonderful thing. We’ve talked about it a lot, and we’re definitely considering it.”

Jill and Derrick’s second baby will join the ever-growing second generation of the already-huge Duggar family. You may recall that 25-year-old Jill Duggar Dillard is the fourth oldest of the first generation of Duggar kids – all 19 of them. Considering that the youngest fist-generation Duggar, Josie Brooklyn, just turned 7, there will be Duggar grandchildren joining the second generation for decades.

For now, there are six Duggar grandchildren and two on the way. Mackynzie Renee Duggar, daughter of older brother Josh, is the oldest, at 7. Mackynzie is followed by her brothers Michael James and Marcus Anthony, cousin Israel David, sister Meredith Grace, and cousin Spurgeon Elliot Seewald (daughter of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald). Two Duggar grandchildren are currently “in the oven,” so to speak: Seewald Baby #2 (due date: February 2017), and Dillard Baby #2 (due date: July 2017).

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Jinger Nicole Duggar has been married to Jeremy Vuolo for just a few weeks now, and as of this writing, there haven’t been any rumors of a Duggar-Vuolo pregnancy. Nineteen-year-old Joy-Anna Duggar is in a relationship with Austin Forsyth, but as of right now it’s probably too early to speculate on marriage, pregnancy, and kids.

While Jill Duggar used the occasion of her just-announced pregnancy to share joy and excitement, her husband, Derick Dillard, chose to use the happy moment to lecture his social media followers about abortion, according to the Daily Mail. In a tweet that has since been deleted, Dillard wrote about how “blessed” he and Jill are, along with an image of a pregnant woman’s body. An arrow pointed to the abdomen, and the caption read, “Someone else’s body.” And underneath the woman, it said “NOT your body.” He later replaced that tweet with one that said “Abortion=murder=sin.”

You can see Jill and Derrick Duggar/Dillard, and possibly get a more specific due date, by watching their show Counting On, which returns for a new season on TLC on Monday, January 16 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
