Scheana Shay Told To Grow Up: Why People Aren’t Taking ‘Pump Rules’ Star Seriously

Scheana Shay has been answering questions about her divorce since she announced the split from her husband a few weeks ago. While Scheana had gotten married on a previous season of Vanderpump Rules, it is clear that her husband Mike Shay was going through some heavy issues. He had been drinking quite a bit behind her back, and he admitted that he was popping pills as well. His co-stars were shocked when they learned the news, and they wanted to be there for him. But now, Scheana’s divorce decision has also shocked her Vanderpump Rules co-stars, and many have expressed an element of surprise, as they had no idea that they were falling apart.

According to a new tweet, Scheana Shay is now revealing that she’s having lots of fun after announcing her divorce. Not only is she spending time with her friends, but she also went to a Chargers game this weekend. And when she was about to go through the metal detectors, her belly button ring kept going off. And this was a story that Scheana wanted to share with her followers. Sadly, some people felt that her having a belly button ring was a bit immature, considering she’s trying to make a career for herself and getting a divorce. Perhaps some people associate a belly button ring with a teenager.

“So as they waved the metal detector over me at the Chargers game my stomach kept going off. Lol. Still have that belly button piercing,” Scheana Shay tweeted over the weekend, revealing that her belly button ring caused quite the scene at the Chargers game as she was trying to get into the stadium.

“Maybe it’s time to remove it and grow up,” one person wrote to Scheana Shay, hinting that a belly button ring is something for teenagers and not something for a divorced woman, while other people wrote things like, “a belly button ring does not mean you are a child, sir,” and “you are never too old to have a belt ring if you have a nice belly. Don’t listen to that idiot.”

Of course, getting some negative feedback from wearing a belly button ring is just the latest criticism that she has faced. After last night’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, some people felt that Scheana Shay wasn’t standing up to the mean girls on the show. Scheana was being accused of being fake and being transparent as a human being, because she chose to apologize to Lala Kent for any false things she said about her. And it sounds like nothing can change her mind.

“Ain’t nobody taking my happy away from me today,” Scheana Shay tweeted before the Vanderpump Rules episode aired on Monday night.

Clearly, Shay is focusing on herself after her divorce, and she isn’t about to let the girls change her mind about apologizing to Lala. Plus, she’s trying to stay focused on respecting her relationship with her estranged husband, Mike. Her divorce announcement didn’t reveal what went wrong, but she’s clearly trying to maintain their friendship.

“While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship. Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters,” read Scheana Shay’s divorce statement, according to Bravo, adding, “We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other’s personal happiness and professional success.”

What do you think of Scheana Shay’s tweet about her belly button ring? Do you think the criticism is unfair?
