The marathon continues when at 10 p.m. ET, a new episode will air. Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath airs Monday nights at 10 p.m. on the A&E network. The docu-series consists of eight episodes. The show will premiere a special episode tonight at 10 p.m. ET, “Ask Me Anything” then return to regular episodes on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, with the episode “A Leader Emerges.”

Leah Remini may go down in history as Scientology’s greatest threat. As an actress, Remini has used her publicity to shed light on the organization that is intent on branding itself as a church, while many say it is actually a cult. Remini’s mother joined Scientology when Leah was 9-years-old. She grew up in the environment and at one point, was outspoken about Scientology’s positive aspects. She, along with other celebrities such as Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, and Kirstie Alley would frequently sing Scientology’s praises. Leah Remini isn’t singing anymore.

Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath not only gives the viewer an inside look at how the organization is structured but also reveals what happens when people leave. Each week, Remini takes us on a deep journey into the secretive world of Scientology and its Clearwater, Florida headquarters. She interviews other former members and they share their accounts of abuse and betrayal while inside Scientology, as well as what the organization did to them after they left. According to the documentary, and first-hand accounts, one doesn’t simply decide to leave Scientology. Some people allege they were physically prevented from leaving when they wanted to. Others state that the organization wants to destroy anyone who becomes a critic of Scientology. They are viewed as a Suppressive Person (SP) are shunned by other Scientologists and become “fair game.” All methods of harassment and intimidation are used to prevent other people from listening to someone deemed an SP.
