Kelly Dodd Outranks Heather Dubrow In ‘Housewives’ Poll
Kelly Dodd is still making waves even though the Real Housewives of Orange County season ended weeks ago. She has been one of the most controversial additions to a Bravo show in recent history, stirring the pot every chance she got. Dodd partnered with Vicki Gunvalson against the wishes of the other ladies, and Season 11 was definitely a cast divided in every way. After everything was said and done, the reunion showed a little bit of peace between Kelly and the other ladies, so there may be hope for a return next season.
Of all of the Real Housewives of Orange County cast members, Kelly Dodd could easily be called the most outspoken and unpredictable. She gave fans a run for their money each time she appeared on screen because no one quite knew for sure what would come out of her mouth when she opened it. According to All About the Tea, Kelly Dodd ranked number one among 44 housewives who were ranked by TV Guide. It was a shock to fans and a bit of shade directly to Heather Dubrow, who placed absolutely last on the list. It seems that viewers are more drawn to Dodd even with all of her faults and vulgar comments.
Two other cast members joined Kelly Dodd in the top 10, Shannon Beador and Vicki Gunvalson. It isn’t surprising as these two were going after one another all season long. In fact, Gunvalson reportedly told Dodd that Shannon’s husband, David Beador, beat her. It was supposedly the “dark secret” Vicki had on her. The entire thing was reminiscent of the Brooks Ayers cancer scandal. Dodd played her cards right and was able to stir the pot without getting too much dirt on her hands. She ended up on the outs with the other ladies, but she was also upset with Gunvalson by the end as well. Dodd felt like she was picked on, and Vicki most definitely did not have her back. Despite everything that happened on Season 11, Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson are still hanging out with one another.
Heather Dubrow coming in last and Kelly Dodd coming in first place is definitely indicative of how some fans felt watching last season. When the ladies had the confrontation on the way back to the airport on the bus, many viewers felt like there were some very serious lines crossed. Dubrow was very judgmental toward Dodd, even saying she felt sorry for her daughter. The egotistical, holier-than-thou attitude displayed by Heather has gotten old quick. She tries hard to appear innocent and calm, berating Dodd for using words like “c**t.” The irony here is that during an interview, Dubrow admitted that the “C-word” is one of her favorites. This was definitely a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
There has been no indication of whether or not Kelly Dodd or Heather Dubrow will return to the Real Housewives of Orange County. It was rumored that the newbie housewife was definitely asked back, though not even Andy Cohen could confirm that. Dodd seemed to enjoy being in the spotlight and allowing people to get to know the authentic her, despite all of her faults. The idea that she was able to rank at the top of a list of 44 housewives from the various franchises is a testament to how important she became regarding the brand. Seeing how Dodd and Dubrow ended up on opposite sides of the ranking was comical for fans. Kelly Dodd may not be the most-liked cast member from the OC, but she definitely left an impression that fans are finding hard to forget.
