A pastor who screamed at children waiting to see Santa in a Texas mall this week has a history of harassing people he sees as sinners and staged a mock execution of Santa Claus on video, according to The Washington Post.
David Grisham, an evangelical street preacher from Anchorage, made headlines after he shouted at children waiting in line for Christmas photos with Santa at the Westgate Mall in Amarillo, Texas. Grisham, who says he is the pastor of Last Frontier Evangelism, recorded his Christmas tirade and uploaded the video to Facebook.

The Santa-hating pastor began the video by telling viewers that he was in a mall in Amarillo, Texas, to tell the children the truth — that there was no such thing as Santa Claus and that Christmas is about Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to pay for their sins and was born in a manger in Bethlehem 2,016 years ago.
“Kids, I want to tell you today that there is no such thing as Santa Claus,” the pastor shouted at children who had been quietly waiting in line for with their parents to take pictures with Santa.
“Santa Claus does not exist. The Christmas season is about Jesus,” he told the startled kids. “The man you’re going to see today is just a man in a suit dressed up like Santa.”
Grisham also shouted at the parents that they were “bearing false witness against God” by lying to their children and pretending Santa was real.
Don’t lie to your children and tell them there’s such a thing as Santa, when you know in reality that there are no flying reindeer, there is no workshop at the North Pole. . . that you buy all the gifts and put them under the tree.
As mothers shouted for the angry pastor to stop, several fathers approached Grisham.
“Quit talking this mess, you understand me,” one father told him. “I got my kids over there, we don’t need you coming over here blabbing whatever the hell you’re blabbing.”
Despite being physically blocked by the defensive dads, the pastor continued to shout past them, “Kids, there is no Santa!”
Grisham, who hosts a radio show where he spreads his evangelical messages, said that he is planning on visiting other malls to confront more children and their parents about Santa Claus this month.
The pastor has been traveling around the country for nearly a decade, often targeting people he regards as sinners in gay bars, strip clubs, and other public places. He also traveled to Pittsburgh to preach at Catholics who traveled to Philadelphia to see the pope.
“Most of the unsaved people are not going to church,” he said. “My wife and I, we go to gay bars, we go to porn shops. If you’re going to be a fisher of men, you’ve got to go where the fish are.”
That said, it’s the sin of Santa that gets most of the pastor’s wrath this time of year, and his publicity stunts against Santa are nothing new. In 2010, he videotaped a bizarre mock execution of a Santa Claus piñata in which he read a scroll of Santa’s “crimes” and then shot the Santa effigy repeatedly with the help of two women.
In the video, the pastor talks to the fake Santa as if he is a criminal convicted of crimes before shooting it repeatedly.
“Of these crimes you have duly been proclaimed guilty and are hereby sentenced to death by having your miserable stuffing shot out by firing squad… We will now proceed with the execution forthwith and then we will seriously consider setting your carcass on fire to contribute to global warming.”
As he and two women aim rifles at the Santa figure, the pastor instructs viewers, “Parents, this is the part where you want your children to come to the screen and watch this and watch what happens.”
After firing several uneventful rounds into Santa, Grisham gets close up to shoot Santa in the face and then begins preaching again.
