Gwen Stefani Gets A Shoutout From Blake Shelton During ‘The Voice’ Season 11 Finale

Gwen Stefani may not have been seen during last night’s finale of The Voice Season 11, but her boyfriend, Blake Shelton, offered her a shoutout during the show.

According to a new report, Shelton attempted to out-do Miley Cyrus’ attire during the episode and as he poked fun at his style, he joked that he wears the same thing every week. Then, in a strange turn of events, he and Cyrus turned out to be wearing the same thing.

As the episode continued, Shelton gave a nod to Gwen Stefani, nothing that despite the fact that he is “dating the most stylish girl in the world,” he hasn’t exactly mastered his own style. He then said he was doing his best to “improve” his own look, as Hollywood Life revealed to readers on December 13.

Gwen Stefani’s relationship with the country singer began as they filmed the ninth season of The Voice in late 2015.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton went public with their romance in Nashville, Tennessee while attending an after party for the County Music Awards. Then, in the weeks that followed, the couple’s romance became a hot topic for viewers of The Voice.

Last year, Blake Shelton and his former wife, Miranda Lambert, announced they were parting ways after four years of marriage and weeks later, Gwen Stefani’s 13-year marriage to Gavin Rossdale came to an end.

Although Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton didn’t start dating right away as they began filming The Voice Season 9, their similar circumstances led to a deep-rooted friendship which ultimately turned romantic — and led to an emotional song.

Earlier this year, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton released their first duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” which they wrote together at the start of their relationship. In the song, Stefani and Shelton opened up about finding love after heartbreak.

“I never ever meant to get so into you / Thought I was using you just to get me through / You know I’m broken I don’t trust anyone / Last thing I needed was to fall in love / You got me dreaming got me thinking I got some hope / There is nobody and someone to get to know / But I’m so scared I don’t know what to do / How did you get me so into you.”

While Gwen Stefani was not featured during the 10th season of The Voice, which aired earlier this year, she and Shelton debuted their duet during one of the season’s episodes.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have continued to enjoy spending time with one another off-set in the year since their romance began, but soon, the couple will be reuniting for The Voice Season 12.

In October, Gwen Stefani’s return to the show was confirmed.

“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to Season 12,” Paul Telegdy, president of Alternative and Reality Group at NBC Entertainment, said in a statement, via E! News. “With Miley returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons.”

While Gwen Stefani will be back on the show for Season 12, her potential return to Season 13 has yet to be revealed. In fact, Miley Cyrus, who appeared in her debut season this year, is the only coach who has been confirmed for Season 13. The rest of the cast, including Shelton and Adam Levine, who’ve been with the show since its start, remains unconfirmed.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will join Alicia Keys and Adam Levine for The Voice Season 12, which premieres on NBC on Monday, February 27. Check out the just-released teaser clip for the new season below.
