Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Together For First Christmas Tree Shopping Trip – So ‘Charming’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s first Christmas together is off to a merry start as the two set about making Christmas preparations just like any other couple.

The British prince and the Hollywood actress might not be the likeliest of romantic partners, but according to the Daily Mail, they were spotted out Christmas shopping in London, U.K. on Monday. Markle and the Prince made the classic romantic Christmas purchase together.
Prince Harry and Meghan visited a “Christmas tree stall in London,” and spent some time ” perusing the trees at Pines and Needles” as the other customers soaked up the royal experience.
Sam Lyle is the owner of the Christmas tree store, and he was lucky enough to be at work when Prince Harry and Meghan walked in. He told the Mirror that the shop went completely silent as everyone stopped talking to watch the two lovebirds check out the Christmas trees together.
Customers are used to seeing “Britain’s highest profile names” at the upscale shop with other celeb Christmas Tree shoppers, including Madonna, Elton John, and Noel Gallagher, but the royal visit was something extra special for shoppers and staff.
“You could have heard a pin drop – or a needle – when Prince Harry and Meghan walked into the store.”
Even though they were the center of attention and had to have known that many of the other customers were over the moon at the chance to be so close to them, Prince Harry and his girlfriend carried on ‘browsing for about 15 minutes” without making a big deal of it.
“They were completely charming together and unaware that our jaws had hit the floor.”
Together, Meghan and Prince Harry chose “a 6-foot non-drop Nordmann Fir” that set the royal back about $70. Harry didn’t ask for help getting the Christmas tree out to the waiting car, or request the delivery option either. He just “tucked the…tree under his arm,” carried it out, and drove away with Markle.
Both the Prince and Markle only left the tree store after “exchanging Christmas pleasantries” with Lyle as they paid for the tree. Afterward, other shoppers described what it felt like to be so close to the royals. Gary Spence was in the store to make his own Christmas tree purchase when Prince Harry and Meghan came in.
“It was a bit weird seeing Prince Harry browsing the Christmas trees. I thought he’d go for the biggest one around, but he just wanted a little six footer.”
The staff members were just as excited as the shoppers, and Prince Harry could have asked for delivery, or even for the full decoration service with their blessing.
“There would certainly be a rush from our staff should they ask us to decorate it too.”
Prince William’s younger brother won’t be with Markle over Christmas itself, since he will be at Sandringham with the rest of the royal family, including his father, Prince Charles, his grandmother, the Queen, and William’s wife, Kate Middleton.
US Magazine reports that the Suits actress flew from Toronto, Canada on either Sunday or Monday so that Prince Harry and Markle could spend some holiday time together before Christmas.
Harry has his own pad at Kensington Palace, the royal residence “on the east side of Hyde Park.” According to People,Harry and Megan will spend some time together at Nottingham Cottage before the prince heads to Sandringham for Christmas.
