Taylor Swift New Album: Wants Tom Hiddleston’s Permission To Release Diss Songs? [Rumor]

Taylor Swift is actively working on her new album, and according to reports, it’s filled with songs that allegedly trash her ex-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston.

The couple, who dated for no more than two months over the summer, made it known to the world at the time that they were no longer an item, adding that there was no bad blood between them — they had just decided to part ways with one another.

This would explain why Taylor Swift is giving Hiddleston a say in what the singer is allowed to talk about in her supposed diss song against the people she’s found herself feuding and breaking up with in the past year.

While her romance with Hiddleston didn’t end on a bad note, Taylor has still been inspired to pen a couple of songs about the relationship on her new album. Nothing has made the cut just yet since she’s still in the early stages of putting the record together, a source explains.

But from what she has gathered together, Taylor Swift has allegedly been sending pieces of the songs back to her ex-boyfriend to seek his approval about some of the things she talks about.

It’s a kind gesture from Taylor, who wouldn’t normally reach out to her exes to see if they were fine with the lyrics of certain songs, but as previously stated, Swift is still on good terms with Tom and wants his honest opinion.

“Taylor sends him drafts and loops him in on how the process is going, and nothing will be recorded without Tom’s consent.” a source tells OK! Magazine, as cited by Gossip Cop. “This was their deal right from the start of their fauxmance… It’s a contractual situation and the result is to make them look good.”

“Calvin is another story,” the insider continued, insinuating that the music producer is the last person Taylor Swift would want to reach out to when it comes to the songs she’s allegedly been writing about him on her new record.

The former country singer has found herself in several feuds with Calvin Harris over the past couple of months, which all stems from the duo’s breakup back in May. Calvin was under the impression that Taylor had cheated on him with Tom Hiddleston, especially since the news of Swift’s romance with the actor came less than two weeks after her breakup with Harris.

Perez Hilton reports that Calvin then went on to pen his own diss track aimed at Taylor Swift, titled “My Way,” which became yet another hit for the DJ, who had previously landed himself a platinum-selling record with the Swift-written track “This Is What You Came For.”

As far as Taylor Swift’s new album is concerned, reports claim that a release date is most likely going to be confirmed during the first quarter of 2017. Taylor has been eager to get back in the studio and begin the process of writing new songs, especially with all the exciting and scandalous things that she happened to have surrounded herself with in the past year.

News of Taylor Swift’s new album being in the works comes just weeks after the singer reportedly reached out to rapper Drake in the hopes of landing her first collaboration with the “One Dance” hitmaker. It’s believed that the Canadian star has already sent a demo track to Swift, who is actively piecing together lyrics and production work for her follow-up to 2014’s 1989.

Should Swift be reaching out to Tom for his approval on the diss song she allegedly plans to release next year?
