It seems John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are loving parenthood as the singer opened up about life since welcoming daughter Luna Simone in April.
Legend, as quoted by the Daily Mail, said he and Teigen want three or four more kids as they plan to expand their family in the future.
“It’s a beautiful thing. We want to have a few more hopefully. Three or four. We’ll play it by ear though.”
When asked about the birth of his first child, Luna, John called it a “beautiful thing” before adding he and wife Chrissy would like more children. Fans are familiar with the couple’s struggles to conceive as Teigen publicly discussed the IVF treatments and finally getting pregnant with Luna. The model said she will undergo more treatments as they don’t have as many embryos left as children they wish to have, reported People.
“The number of embryos we have left is not matching the number of people I want at my dinner table, so I’ll have to do it again.”
Chrissy’s earlier statement matches the recent one given by John that they plan on adding several more babies to their family. He said Luna inspired his music before she was even born as he started writing songs about what it was like to be a new father.
“As soon as we found out we were pregnant, I started writing songs about what it felt like to be a new father. I already was so inspired, before I even saw Luna.”
So it shouldn’t surprise fans to learn the R&B crooner wishes to be home more in order to spend quality time with his wife and baby.
“I want to work less now, you know? I want to be home more, and be able to just help my wife with whatever she needs.”
When it comes to conceiving naturally, John said the doctor never told them the reason why they had struggles, but they did what they needed to do in order to start a family, according to Daily Mail.
“He’s never really told us that there was something specific that he could identify was the reason why it just didn’t work out naturally. We did what we had to do.”
It seems John and Chrissy are still willing to do whatever it is they need to as they plan on growing their family. Teigen even told People that she would “do the shot thing” again if that’s what it takes to have more children.
“It would have been better if I had made a ton of embryos when I was already doing the shots. Because now I have to do the shot thing again. I think about that.”
The 31-year-old Sports Illustrated model came under heat after revealing to fans she chose a female embryo to be implanted, reported Us magazine. She took to Twitter to defend her decision and also stated she and John “didn’t throw away anything” as they still plan on using the other embryos in the future.
“We didn’t ‘throw away’ anything and still would love to have more of both in the future.”
Chrissy also discussed the impact IVF treatments had on her modeling career as it caused bloating and bruises. She said they would have to cover any marks or bruises for the photos, and she would take her medical kit with her on modeling trips. However, despite all the drama and difficulties caused by IVF, Teigen is willing to do it all again in order to expand her family.
She and Legend have been very open about their family life and daughter Luna on social media. The two regularly share updates and photos of their little girl as they think about adding another baby to the mix.
