Piers Morgan Says Seeing Madonna Twerk Makes Him ‘Suddenly Nauseous,’ Gets Called Out As Sexist [Video]

Piers Morgan is famously not a Madonna fan. He reiterated his opinion of the Material Girl on a Tuesday segment of Good Morning Britain, trashing her world-famous 58-year-old butt as it appeared on a recent episode of “Carpool Karaoke. A teaser for the appearance, which will be featured on the “Carpool Karaoke” segment of an episode of The Late Late Show on CBS.

In the video clip, Madonna can be seen twerking while host James Corden watched her live solo dance performance. Apparently, Madonna failed to impress Piers Morgan with her moves.

As The Wrap reports, the wiggling, jiggling Madonna butt was way too much for Piers Morgan, who responded to the video with some loud fake vomiting. He even had a puke bucket waiting under his news desk when the clip (which apparently he’d already seen) was played on the air.

“Sorry, I feel suddenly nauseous. Sorry. Has anyone got a bucket? Hang on. What a way to start a morning. Thank you, James Corden.”

The Piers Morgan Madonna bashing didn’t end there, either. After the show, he took his anti-Madonna tirade to Twitter, underscoring his apparent disgust of her “Carpool Karaoke” dance moves.

Piers Morgan and his Madonna feud go way back. In addition to calling her the “World’s Most Embarrassing Mother,” as evidenced by the tweet above, he’s been generally dragging her name through the mud for years. As The Daily Mail reports, Piers Morgan and Madonna have been “on the outs” forever, with him once famously calling her “the biggest phony in show business.”

As SF Gate reported years ago, the drama between Madonna and Morgan is rumored to have begun with a simple bread roll dispute and has only grown more public and personal since then.

“Madonna is pretty awful. She never forgave me for throwing a bread roll at her at Marco Pierre White’s birthday. She was just being really obnoxious, not just to me, but generally. There was only 40 of us at this dinner party and she got annoyed because Bernard Manning started being offensive and that wound her up. She was with Guy Ritchie at the time and he’d been laughing his head off. … I just picked up a bread roll and chucked it at her!”

This time around, though, quite a few people seem to think that Piers Morgan has crossed the line with his critical, very public remarks about the aging musical icon. As Mashable reports, the “Carpool Karaoke” incident has some calling Piers Morgan’s Madonna comments “sexist,” and worse. Particularly because he attacked Madonna due to her “embarrassing” age.

During the Good Morning Britain segments, Morgan described his rival as “a walking, talking trainwreck,” adding that it was embarrassing to watch her twerking because she is a “58-year-old.”

Morgan’s words resonated through social media, with many (fans of Madonna or not) commenting that his comments were inappropriate, that they reek of sexism and ageism and that Piers was out of line for his harsh criticism of Madonna based on her gender and (perhaps most importantly) her age.

At least one social media warrior even created a petition to stop Piers Morgan’s “constant abuse” towards Madonna. The goal of the petition, according to creator Paul Chambers, is to compel ITV to “reprimand” Morgan for his “abusive” words.

While Piers definitely suffered some backlash for his Madonna remarks, his opinion of the singer is definitely not a new one, nor are his unkind (some say unprofessional) words about her.

Not only that, while some on social media thought Morgan was out-of-line, more than a few came out in support of Piers and his controversial commentary.

Many seemed to take more issue with Piers targeting Madonna over her age than anything else. He was quite blatant that his problem had to do with the fact that she is getting on in years rather than the fact that he was seeing more of her butt than might float his boat.

“I loved Madonna when she acted her age.”

What do you think? Do you have a problem with Madonna’s “Carpool Karaoke” performance? Do you think it’s time that she starts “acting her age”? Do you agree with Piers Morgan when it comes to Madonna, or do you think the Good Morning Britain co-host was out of line?
