Did Yolanda Foster Quit Her Role On The ‘RHOBH’ Cast? Erika Girardi Speaks Of Her Exit

Yolanda Foster will not be seen during the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Although the mother of three appeared on the Bravo reality television series for the past four seasons, she announced she would not be returning to the show in June with a statement to her fans and followers on Instagram.

“I would have loved a more graceful exit [than] ‘Season 6’ but sometimes we don’t get to control the ending of the chapters in our life,” Yolanda Foster wrote in her official statement. “I am leaving what’s over without denying its past importance in my life. I believe that every exit is a new entry and with that in mind I say goodbye to my @Bravotv Family as I continue to focus on a my recovery, my children and bring back the privacy within our home.” she wrote.

Yolanda Foster joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during Season 3 as a full-time cast member. At the time, Foster was known as the ex-wife of Lisa Vanderpump’s longtime friend Mohamed Hadid, the father of her three children, Gigi, Bella, and Anwar Hadid.

Yolanda Foster continued on in her exit statement, thanking fans for their ongoing support.

“Thank you to all the fans for your love and unwavering support these past 4 years,” she wrote.

“I am grateful for the housewife experience and all it has thought me. I’am excited about this choice and look forward to the next chapter of my life.”

While Yolanda Foster established several friendships throughout her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it was her struggles with Lyme disease which took center stage during the series’ sixth season. As fans of the show will recall, the season started off with Taylor Armstrong claiming she was confused at how severe Foster’s struggles actually were due to her allegedly contradictory selfies. Then, a few episodes later, Lisa Rinna was seen chatting about the idea of Munchausen Syndrome in which people fake illnesses in an effort to gain attention and sympathy.

As the season continued, Yolanda Foster’s children were pulled into the drama when Kyle Richards asked Lisa Vanderpump whether Mohamed Hadid had informed her about their health. When Vanderpump admitted that she had heard nothing from Hadid in regard to his kid’s diagnosis, many wondered if they were truly suffering. That said, by the end of the season, everyone on the cast had confirmed that they do believe Yolanda Foster and her two youngest children, Bella and Anwar, suffer from Lyme disease.

Although Yolanda Foster will be steering clear of reality television for now, her former co-star, Erika Girardi, recently spoke out and admitted that she’ll be missing Foster on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7.

“You know, I lost my buddy, which was scary for a second, because I thought, ‘Wow,'” Girardi explained to Bustle on December 6.

“But, at the same time, too, it also opened me up to be friendly with everyone a little bit more… I really got to know everyone else a little bit deeper.”

“You get to see where I come from, you know my personal life… You get to meet my mom and see that whole relationship. I think you get to know me, Erika, a little bit more intimately.”

As for Yolanda Foster’s current friendship with Girardi, the singer confirmed they were still in touch.

“Well, of course. Are you kidding?” she exclaimed.

To see more of Erika Girardi and the rest of Yolanda Foster’s co-stars, tune into the Season 7 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills tonight, December 6, at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
