Spice Girl Mel C Poses Topless After Calling Little Mix ‘Too Provocative’
Spice Girl singer Mel C left little to the imagination when she posed topless in a new photo shoot. The veteran pop star was known as “Sporty Spice” or as the tomboy of the Spice Girls in the late ’90s.
The 42-year-old stripped down for an exclusive photo shoot that has yet to come out. Mel C took to Instagram to share the racy behind-the-scenes photo, which shows her just wearing a pair of nude underwear as she covers up her breasts with her arms. She captioned the NSFW photo, “Cheeky little cover shoot tomorrow. Getter get my work pants ready! #behindthescenes #versionofme #putsomeclothesonwoman.”
The photo showed off Mel C’s incredible physique. You can tell that the singer still works out, like she did back in the day. According to The Sun, most of Mel C’s fans loved the photo and took to her Instagram post to comment about it.
“OMG!!! Hot and sex,” one fan wrote.
“Can I have your figure please?” another added.
“Too sexy for my love,” a third fan responded.
However, according to The Mirror, some called the singer a “hypocrite” after her recent comments about Little Mix and their “provocative” costumes on The X Factor U.K. The four girls recently returned to the stage to perform their hit song “Shout Out To My Ex” while wearing bondage-inspired attire. Mel C compared the Spice Girls to Little Mix in the new interview with the British newspaper.
“I love Little Mix. I loved them from The X Factor. I just thought they were so different. But they are getting more provocative. To me, they were kind of the closest thing to the Spice Girls we’ve seen. They are all gorgeous and great singers. But they weren’t sexy and it’s got more and more that way. I love them – but I just say, ‘Stay you.'”
The singer’s concerns over Little Mix’s new image has also led her to ban her 7-year-old daughter, Scarlet, from using social media. However, she will let her daughter still listen to Little Mix’s music, even if she doesn’t approve of their new sexualized image.
“I’ll show her a silly dog falling over on YouTube or something but I’ll keep her away from the rest of it for as long as possible. She is a massive Little Mix fan but I’ve started to be more sparing in what I show her. I don’t let her watch videos by artists that aren’t appropriate for her. That make me a bit sad. All young women want to look sexy and hot so I understand it’s hard. But I think it’s such a shame. We live in a narcissistic age – it’s 100 per cent worse than when I was in the Spice Girls. It was a more innocent time, although we were criticized for wearing crop tops.”
Mel C’s topless photo comes after former bandmate Mel B shared an emotional message about body confidence on Friday, Dec. 2, to prove that she doesn’t care about her “flaws.” Mel B looked incredible in her nude photo on Instagram, which shows the singer wearing nothing else but red lipstick and gold jewelry as she looks at herself in the mirror.
“As a women I Embrace my flaws and I’m comfortable in my own skin, might as well im gonna be in it for the rest of my life. I’m the kinda girl that has absolutely no desire to fit in,ladies we gotta love the skin we are in #feelinmyself [sic],” she wrote in the caption.
Mel C’s controversial comments about the singer caused Jesy Nelson to lash out. Little Mix has since defended themselves since receiving backlash for their X Factor U.K. performance after viewers on social media compared them to “strippers.” Nelson took to Instagram to share a photo of her miniskirt with the question, “Too provocative?” emblazoned across her bum, reports the Daily Mail. However, the photo has since been removed from her Instagram account.
