Jensen Ackles Gives Twins ‘Supernatural’ Style Names: Find Out The Story Behind The Names

Fans of Supernatural were excited to find out that Jensen Ackles and his wife Danneel Harris welcomed their twins into the world over the weekend. While sharing a post on Instagram, he left fans divided as he shared their names. In fact, they were “celebrity” that they had fans questioning whether the names were even real.

Ackles took to Instagram, and then reshared on Twitter, to pop up a photo of Dr. Suess’ Thing 1 and Thing 2 to announce the birth of his twins. He then shared the names Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes in the caption and shared that everyone was doing well. Some fans questioned the names, wondering whether Ackles was having some fun before announcing the real names. However, fans were quick to point out that Ackles and Harris like unusual names, as their first child is named Justice.

It didn’t take long for fans to find out about the names of the twins—and yes, they are the real names. During the San Francisco convention, the Supernatural co-stars Ackles and Jared Padalecki took questions from their fans, and one of them was about the twins’ names. It turns out that there is more of a story behind the first name than many would expect, and it’s not all good news.

Zeppelin (nicknamed Zepp) was born a minute before his sister with the cord wrapped around his neck. The cord was in the shape of a Zeppelin knot, so it’s not quite as Supernatural-inspired as many fans expected. After all, Ackles plays the character Dean Winchester, whose favorite band is the iconic rockers Led Zeppelin. This was clearly a name that was thought of at the moment after the slightly scary moment for the two parents.

“There’s a knot known as the zeppelin blend and his cord was tied around him.”

As for Arrow, the celebrity couple decided that they wanted to use the initials AA for their daughter, according to She Knows. Both loved Arrow, so agreed on that. It slightly mimics big sister Justice, whose middle name is Jay, giving her the initials JJ.

Supernatural fans have instantly jumped to the defense of some of the nay-sayers, telling them to find out the story before judging. Fans have also pointed out that the two parents are Jensen and Danneel, so not exactly the most traditional names to start with.

While many may not like the names, fans have taken to social media to share their congratulations for the happy couple. All that matters is that both babies and mom are doing well, and JJ is excited about being a big sister to two little ones. This is going to be a big step in the parenting world for both, especially as Ackles will be busy filming the rest of Supernatural Season 12.

The SPN Family, as the fandom is known, have been eagerly waiting for news on the birth of the twins. In August, Harris announced that she and Ackles were expecting the twins, according to the Daily Voice News. It quickly led to jokes about how his co-star Padalecki would need to catch up, since he only has two children.

Just recently, Padalecki dropped the bombshell that he and his wife Genevieve are expecting baby number three, who will be born in March, as the Inquisitr previously reported. There is currently no idea over whether this baby will be another boy to join their two sons or if they will have a girl. Fans have been hoping for a girl, as they would like to see Ackles and Padalecki’s families balanced.

What do you think of the baby names and the story behind them? Are you just excited that Ackles and Harris welcomed two healthy babies into the world?
