Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright Take A Big Step, But The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Couple Isn’t Getting Married Yet

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have been dating for about a year and a half, and days ago, they took a big step in their relationship.

As speculation continues into what exactly went down between Cartwright and their Vanderpump Rules co-star, Kristen Doute, Jax Taylor and his girlfriend have added a second dog to their family.

“Newest member @spoiledmonroe – @spoiledkingsley has a sister little Monroe. #puppy,” Jax Taylor wrote on Instagram along with a photo of himself and his adorable puppy.

One day later, on December 3, Jax Taylor shared another photo of himself and Monroe, and in the caption, he wrote, “Quick little nap with my pups before the gym! #happyfriday everyone! Be safe.”

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright began dating in early 2015, and for the majority of their relationship, they have been living together in Los Angeles. However, the couple moved earlier this year after feeling as though their first apartment was too small. As fans saw during the fourth season of Vanderpump Rules, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright began feuding with one another midway through the season due to their close living quarters, which didn’t allow them much time away from each other.

While Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s bickering was believed to have subsided at that point, they were immediately faced with drama during the Vanderpump Rules Season 5 premiere when Taylor claimed he had seen Doute’s face between Cartwright’s legs and accused them of hooking up at their apartment.

In response to the rumors, Cartwright claims Jax Taylor’s account of her night with Doute never happened, and during a recent taping of Watch What Happens Live, Taylor admitted that he shouldn’t have said what he did. Still, as seen in the Vanderpump Rules trailer, the drama between them isn’t over yet, and their relationship issues are expected to continue to play out as the show’s fifth season continues.

While Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright may not have been in the best place throughout the fifth season of Vanderpump Rules, they seem to be doing quite well at this point. In a recent interview, Taylor admitted that he’s having second thoughts about his feelings on marriage.

In the past, Taylor has been open about the fact that marriage may not be for him, but now, he may have had a change of heart.

“Before Brittany I was not about marriage. It was not going to happen for me. I didn’t believe in marriage. Not because I didn’t love Brittany, I just didn’t believe in marriage. It just wasn’t for me,” he told the Daily Dish at the end of last month. “As time progresses, I’m starting to open my mind about it a little bit more because I do love her and that’s something she wants. And I’m willing to bring the idea back. We’ll see. I just hate divorce. I hate it. I’ve done a lot of things in my life, it’s just kind of the one box I don’t want to check off that I’ve done.”

“She’s just an amazing girl. I love her to death. She’s just so sweet, so kind. She has a lot of patience. “It takes someone to have a lot of patience with me cause I’m kind of all over the place. I think patience is the key. Everybody loves her. There’s not one person that can say a bad thing about her. I feel like they would trade me in for her any day. I think anybody would.”
