Arnold Schwarzenegger sports a tattoo and automatic weaponry in the new image from director David Ayer’s Ten. According to Cinema Blend, the project is just one of countless motion pictures the veteran actor currently has in the works.
“I’m having a great time working with @DavidAyerMovies on my new movie, Ten. Check out my look,” the actor recently wrote on Twitter.
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as John “Breacher” Wharton in the forthcoming action-thriller, which chronicles the adventures of several DEA task force agents who are being investigated for stealing $10 million. The group’s problems take a considerable turn for the worse when team members start getting murdered. In other words, Ten isn’t a serious departure from the former California governor’s previous efforts.
Yesterday The Inquisitr reported that Schwarzenegger would reprise one of his earliest roles in Universal’s The Legend of Conan. The film will completely skip over director Marcus Nispel’s 2011 effort Conan the Barbarian starring Jason Momoa, Ron Perlman, and Rose McGowan.
“This movie picks up Conan where Arnold is now in his life, and we will be able to use the fact that he has aged in this story,” producer Chris Morgan explained. “I love the property of Conan so much that I wouldn’t touch it unless we came up with something worthy. We think this is a worthy successor to the original film. Think of this as Conan’s ‘Unforgiven.’ “
Schwarzenegger is seemingly eager to re-establish himself as a viable cinematic presence. In addition to Ten and The Legend of Conan, the actor will appear in South Korean director Jee-woon Kim’s The Last Stand this January and The Tomb with Sylvester Stallone on September 27, 2013.
The star of such 80s classic as Commando and Predator is also rumored to be reprising his role as Julius Benedict in Ivan Reitman’s Triplets, the sequel to his 1988 comedy Twins. However, director Ivan Reitman revealed the project may not happen.
