Kourtney Kardashian And Scott Disick Are Back Together After Over A Year Of Separation — They Did It For The Kids

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are together again after over a year of separation.

Two sources confirmed to E! Online that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star and the television personality/entrepreneur are rekindling their relationship, and that they’ve done so without the public’s knowledge for months already.

“They are back together and giving their relationship a try again,” says an insider.

The source said that Kourtney agreed to give her romance with Scott another chance because he’s “mellowed out a lot and hasn’t been partying.”

Another insider claimed that Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian reunited because they “want to make it work for them and the kids.” Disick and Kardashian had three children — six-year-old son Mason, 23-month-old Reign, and four-year-old Penelope — in their nine years as a couple before breaking up in July 2015.

Rumors that the two have gotten back together have been swirling for months, which isn’t at all surprising given how the then-estranged couple managed to set aside their differences to co-parent their three kids. They even went out on trips with their kids together in the year and a half after their split.

But Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian have been spending a lot more time together than usual. A few weeks ago, the pair was spotted getting cozy while on a trip in Mexico with their family. While this sparked reconciliation rumors yet again, some assumed the two were just fulfilling their duties as co-parents to their three kids. It came as no surprise to most because Scott has always attended Kardashian family trips on a regular basis even after the breakup. For one, he joined the Kardashian family on a trip to Vail earlier this year, and he was also spotted celebrating Thanksgiving with the Kardashian clan last year.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres in January, Kourtney said that Disick will always be family to her and that she’d never say never when it came to the possibility of getting back together with him.

“I feel like every day is different, but we’re totally getting along. Like, we have three beautiful kids together…But, you know, he’s family. He’ll always be.” she said.

“We’re not getting back together right now, but I don’t know what the future holds in life, in God’s plan,” she said on the Today show in April. “But we’re just doing our best to be the best parents. Like, he came with us to Vail and it was great. But, like, we’re friends at this point.”

Kourtney decided to break up with Scott over a year ago on account of his knack for partying and womanizing.

Not long after the split, Scott Disick admitted himself to a rehabilitation program so that he could curb his ways. It hasn’t been smooth sailing, however. In fact, he was seen numerous times partying hard at night clubs and was often spotted dating other women. That’s not to say that he wasn’t trying. In fact, Disick poured his heart out when he was confronted by Khloe Kardashian about how his partying ways are affecting his family, an encounter that was aired in a Keeping Up With The Kardashians episode, as reported by US Weekly.

“I’m sure you guys have heard a lot of horrible things about me that I should have just been honest with, but I was too ashamed that I was going to hurt everybody in this family and not just her [Kourtney]. I’ve apologized to Kourtney a hundred times, but I’ve never apologized to like all of you for letting all of you down and embarrassing you guys … I understand I need to help myself before I can help her or my kids.”
