Brad Pitt Is ‘Sad And Frustrated’ After Being Kept From His Kids On Thanksgiving

Brad Pitt was reportedly left “sad and frustrated” after spending the Thanksgiving holiday without his six children last week.

Over 2 months after his former partner, Angelina Jolie, filed documents to end their marriage, a report claimed the 52-year-old actor was unable to enjoy the company of his kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, during last week’s festivities.

According to a report by Us Weekly on November 30, Brad Pitt’s children were in Los Angeles with their mother last Thursday as he enjoyed a celebration with a friend in Turks and Caicos.

“They had a nice family dinner,” a Jolie source told the magazine of the kids’ holiday. “It was quiet.”

While Brad Pitt was said to be upset about reportedly missing out on time with his family, the kids were allegedly okay with their father being absent — at least according to the Jolie insider. As a source revealed, the children allegedly did not request to be with their dad on Thanksgiving.

Meanwhile, a friend of Pitt claimed the decision was Jolie’s and no one else’s.

“Angie could have had him there if she wanted,” the insider explained.

After Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on September 19, rumors began swirling regarding an alleged altercation between Pitt and their oldest son, Maddox, that had reportedly occurred on their family plane. However, months after the claims were made, both the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and the FBI closed their cases against Pitt and dropped any and all charges against him.

Still, the magazine revealed, Angelina Jolie, 41, has reportedly continued to keep Brad Pitt at an arm’s length when it comes to his time with their family.

“Everything is on her terms,” a Pitt insider explained. “It has been a difficult time for [Brad Pitt].”

Currently, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s six kids are reportedly in therapy, as per a recommendation made by the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services during their investigation, and when it comes to Christmas, the couple has allegedly not yet figured out how to celebrate the upcoming holiday.

“That will be discussed with the therapist as the holiday gets closer,” the source explained.

In the meantime, Brad Pitt has been given just a handful of “awkward, supervised visits.”

“[Brad Pitt] loves his kids. It’s very hard to not be with them.”

As Us Weekly magazine confirmed, Brad Pitt wants to share custody of his children, but in Jolie’s September 19 divorce filing, she requested she be given full physical custody of their kids. According to TMZ sources at that time, Jolie’s decision to file for divorce was reportedly made due to her concerns about Brad Pitt’s alleged use of “weed and possibly alcohol” and his rumored “anger problem.” As the outlet explained, Jolie allegedly felt Brad Pitt’s struggles were dangerous for their children.

In Us Weekly‘s report, separate sources gave contradictory accounts regarding the children’s alleged feelings about their parent’s divorce, but according to another report shared weeks ago, they aren’t happy with either parent and are rumored to be wishing for more normal lives.

“Maddox and Pax are now so upset with [Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie] that they do not want to live with either of them,” a source told Hollywood Life last month. “The two boys are so disturbed with how their parents are behaving and everything they are being put through, they are beginning to ask if they can live with Uncle James or any other relative. They just want to be normal like their friends.”
