Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Urged To Get Back Together, ‘They’re In A Great Place,’ Says Source

Mariah Carey and ex-husband Nick Cannon are being urged to reunite in the wake of Carey’s messy split from former fiancé James Packer.

After Mariah revealed on Instagram that she and Cannon reunited to spend Thanksgiving as a family with their twins Moroccan and Monroe, fans quickly flocked to social media to urge to the two get back together romantically after the former couple separated in 2014 and finalized their divorce earlier this year.

“Just get back together already @MariahCarey @NickCannon,” Twitter user @Apple_ishCarrot tweeted out to the friendly exes after Carey showed off snaps from their Thanksgiving celebration on social media.

“Mariah should get back together with Nick, [they’re] both beautiful & they have beautiful kids together. What do u guys think?” @Kanienelo added on the social media site of their hopes to see the two reunite, while Twitter user @badgalamari recently tweeted out, “Can Nick and Mariah get back together?”

Fans urging Mariah and Nick to get back together and start dating again also come amid reports claiming that Cannon and Carey are in “a great place” following her October breakup with now former fiancé James Packer.

According to an insider who spoke out to Entertainment Tonight about how Nick reacted to Mariah’s split with James, Cannon has been “really supportive and amazing” in the wake of the breakup and has been spending a lot of time with Carey and their kids during the holiday season.

“They are in a great place and had a wonderful festive Thanksgiving with the kids in Honolulu,” the site’s source revealed of the recently reunited Mariah and Nick, adding that the former couple are on such good terms that “they all helped cook together” for the holiday, which Mariah’s Instagram snaps showed was also spent with Cannon’s mom, Beth Gardner.

But as the reconciliation rumors swirl around Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey, fans hoping that Nick and Mariah could get back together in the wake of their sweet Thanksgiving family photos come just days after the America’s Got Talent host confirmed he was expecting a baby with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell.

According to Us Weekly, Nick confirmed reports that he was about to become a dad for the third time during an appearance on The Breakfast Show earlier this month, confirming that his ex was pregnant with his baby as Carey’s fans urged him to reunite with Mariah.

“I’ve got a baby on the way… absolutely… God said be fruitful and multiply,” Cannon said on the radio show, according to Us Weekly, when asked about the rumors. After which Nick joked of his new baby on the way, “I’m doing the Lord’s work… everybody get a baby! I’m passing them out.”

But while Nick is confirming that he’s expecting a baby with his former girlfriend prior to his Thanksgiving celebrations with Carey and their two children, Cannon didn’t exactly do much to quash hopes that he and Mariah could one day reunite in a recent interview with EXTRA.

Cannon was asked about Carey in a interview with the outlet earlier this month, where he confirmed that it was “all love” between himself and Mariah as fans urge them to reunite, adding at the time that he and his former wife were “keeping it moving” following Carey’s breakup with Packer.

“It’s all love. You know how that is. I think the media comes up with all this speculation and stuff, but everybody is keeping it moving… that’s what it’s all about,” Nick said on the show when asked about where things stand between himself and Mariah.

“Things are always movin’ and groovin’, but as long as we are rooted in love and family, that’s the most important thing,” Cannon added of his relationship with Carey.
