Miranda Lambert’s Boyfriend, Anderson East, Praises Her New Album, Enjoys Alabama Football

Miranda Lambert’s boyfriend, Anderson East, recently spoke of her new album, The Weight of These Wings, on his Instagram page.

Following the release of the album last week, East, who has been dating the 33-year-old country singer for about a year, took to social media, where he posted a photo of the album’s cover and revealed he was “proud” of Miranda Lambert.

“Couldn’t be more proud of this woman. True artist, true voice, true heart,” he wrote in the caption of the post.

Miranda Lambert released her first post-divorce single in July, about one year after she and her former husband, Blake Shelton, parted ways after four years of marriage. Although Miranda Lambert never confirmed who the song was about, the track spoke of someone who was going through times and continuing to return to a “vice.”

“Another vice, another call, another bed I shouldn’t crawl out of at 7am with shoes in my hand, said I wouldn’t do it, but I did it again… And I know I’ll be back tomorrow night,” she sang on the track.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s divorce was plagued by rumors of infidelity and alleged spats over family planning, but throughout the claims, both Lambert and Shelton remained tight-lipped and have never said a bad thing about one another.

Following their split, Shelton quickly moved on from his marriage to Miranda Lambert with his co-star on The Voice, singer Gwen Stefani. As fans will recall, Shelton and Stefani went public with their relationship in November ahead of the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, which were attended by both Miranda Lambert and Shelton. Then, weeks later, news of Miranda Lambert’s romance with Anderson East hit the web. In January of this year, the news was confirmed by Lambert herself.

In a post to her fans and followers on Instagram, Miranda Lambert shared the first public photo of herself and East, which featured the couple cuddling under a red flannel blanket.

As Miranda Lambert continues to promote her new album, The Weight of These Wings, a source claims fans shouldn’t expect to hear her speaking of her divorce from Blake Shelton.

“[Miranda Lambert’s] definitely refraining from it and is asking anyone that does interview her to provide questions beforehand to make sure she is not put in an awkward predicament,” an insider revealed to Hollywood Life last week. “She wants to move on with her career, her relationship and she doesn’t want to harp on a bad moment in her life.”

“[Miranda Lambert] doesn’t want it to be a constant conversation, because if she brings it up, then Blake will have to retort and it will never end,” the source continued. “She wants to be over with it. It hurts thinking about it because what she had with Blake was amazing, and the fact that it ended the way it did is sad.”

As for what East will be doing as Miranda Lambert promotes her new album, he recently shared a telling post on Twitter, where he revealed he was enjoying Alabama football as he shared the rallying cry of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Although Miranda Lambert is not currently engaged to Anderson East, a source weeks ago told E! News that the happy couple has reportedly discussed both marriage and children. According to the insider, Miranda Lambert is hoping to get married for a second time, and East wants the same. The source also said the country singer is “very happy” with her Alabama-born boyfriend.
