Alessandra Ambrosio Shows You How To Shape Up After Thanksgiving


Alessandra Ambrosio has an obligation to stay in shape, especially with the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show slated for later this month. While the rest of us are feeling lazy and may still be eating holiday leftovers, the model was seen heading to the gym and drinking a healthy snack.

Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted showing off her incredibly-toned stomach in a black sports bra, black sweatpants, and sneakers, while getting a quick workout in Los Angeles on Thursday morning. Ambrosio wore her brown hair up in a top knot and she kept her eyes covered with dark sunglasses, according to the Daily Mail. The 35-year-old was also photographed drinking a green smoothie as she made her way out of a café and into her car.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel just spoke to Vogue about how she stays healthy and fit year-round, which is super appropriate for the holiday season.

“It is all about nutrition, so I make sure to eat healthy all year long and have small meals throughout the day. I don’t restrict myself from any foods, but when I’m getting pizza, I make sure to pick the healthiest option. If you have some time, do a yoga class — it is relaxing and a great way to tone your body. Lately, I have been doing Tracy Anderson. It is my favorite type of class to do since it doesn’t really feel like exercise, but you get amazing results.”

During an interview with E! News, the Brazilian model previewed her upcoming look for the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and shared more details about the workout she’s been doing. Alessandra said she will be walking in a segment of the show called “The Road Ahead.” Alessandra’s look will have feathers, teal lingerie, and of course, wings made out of yellow feathers. She also shared another tip for staying in shape for those busy parents.

“You’ve just got to put your mind [to it] and work out really hard, extra hard. That’s what I did after I had my kids,” she said.

That’s easier said than done when you’re fighting off a turkey coma. Ambrosio says she does the Tracy Anderson Method with the music blasting, which helps her enjoy the workout. She also tries to avoid sweets and desserts by drinking plenty of water. As for Thanksgiving, Ambrosio said that even with the temptations, she tries to stay focus on staying healthy and working out still.

“Thanksgiving is before we film the show so we just try to be as healthy as we can and work out,” she said.

In another interview with Stuff.co.nz, Alessandra said that she also does yoga once a week to stay happy and in shape. Back in 2011, she raised eyebrows when she admitted that she worked out twice a day for three weeks leading up to the annual fashion show. Alessandra also said she went on a liquid diet nine days up to the show, and stopped drinking and eating anything else 12 hours prior, which is obviously extreme. These days, though, Alessandra, is not on a liquid diet. Instead, she sticks to her green smoothies.

“There’s these juices right here,” she says, motioning to the liquid drink in her hand, “and on the first day people really thought I was doing a fast, and I was like, no. I was doing omelet even if it’s an [egg] white omelet with vegetables inside, I’m still doing that.”

She needs to stay in shape for her upcoming bikini line. Ambrosio just released her swimsuit collection under her line, Ale by Alessandra, according to Yahoo!. She teased the upcoming line in a sexy new video on her Instagram page. Ambrosio’s new line, which includes tiny bikinis, debuted on Monday, Nov. 21, and the steamy black-and-white video shows her modeling some of new looks from her collection.

The mother-of-two even shared several photos of her revealing bikinis and one-piece suits on her Instagram page. Alessandra’s new swimsuit line is perfect timing since Victoria’s Secret did away with its swimsuit collection earlier this year.
