‘Below Deck’ Kyle Dixon On Whether He’s Still With Ashley

On the latest episode of Below Deck that aired on Tuesday night, viewers saw the arrival of Ashley, a woman whom Kyle Dixon was dating back home in England. During Ashley’s visit, Kyle admitted to her that he did ask co-worker Sierra Storm out on a date. Not surprisingly, Ashley wasn’t happy that Kyle tried to get with Sierra. Ashley lashed out at Kyle for thinking that he had a free pass to get with someone else when she wasn’t around. By the end of Ashley’s visit, though, she and Kyle seemed to have moved on from Kyle’s mistake. Kyle even told Ashley that he wants to commit to her and agreed to help take care of her after her gender reassignment surgery.

So did Kyle and Ashley continue with a relationship after filming ended? Apparently not. Alternatively, if they did, it has ended. Early Thursday morning, Kyle tweeted that he’s not in a relationship now.

Perhaps Kyle’s not in an exclusive and committed relationship with Ashley now, but they’re still seeing one another on and off? Or perhaps Kyle and Ashley don’t have any kind of contact at all with one another anymore? It probably won’t be surprising for many viewers if it turned out that Ashley completely broke things off with Kyle after watching the past few Below Deck episodes, which showed Kyle chasing after Sierra.

After Kyle Dixon joined the crew as a deckhand after Captain Lee Rosbach fired Trevor Walker, he quickly made it clear that he found third stewardess Sierra Storm attractive and was interested in dating her. Kyle flirted with Sierra and even asked her out on date, only for Sierra to remain aloof to his advances and ask others to join their date.

As Kyle continued his pursuit of Sierra, he told her that he has a young daughter from a brief fling back home. Later, while hanging out with Kate Chastain, Ben Robinson and Emily Warburton-Adams late at night, Kyle revealed that he’s bisexual, that he’s attracted to transgender women and that he’s actually dating a transgender woman back home whose name is Ashley.

“I came out to my dad to this song. I said, ‘I’m bi, Dad,’ because I had a transgender missus at the time.”

Kyle went on to explain that one night when he was still in the army, he went out and “hooked up” with a transgender woman by accident. He later found that he was “a bit partial” to it. He then told the others about Ashley.

“Well Ashley’s transgender. The girl I kinda been seeing back in England. On and off.”

In a confessional interview, Kyle gave the rundown on his relationship with Ashley.

“Ashley’s someone I’ve been seeing on and off for years, I met outside a nightclub in the gay village of Manchester. It was around the time that me and the mother of my child was falling out, the relationship was completely done.”

On Tuesday night’s episode, Ashley arrived at the yacht and met Kyle’s co-workers. Upon seeing Ashley walk down the dock, Kyle ran towards her and lifted her up as she jumped into his arms for a hug. The reunion was clearly an emotional one for both Kyle and Ashley.

“I’m okay. Don’t make me cry. I missed you.” she told him.

In a confessional interview, Kyle admitted that he missed Ashley.

“I’m really happy to see her. I didn’t realize how much I was going to miss her, till she got here.”

Upon Sierra meeting Ashley, Sierra told her that it was nice to meet her and that she liked her nails.

By this time, any romantic possibility between Kyle and Sierra ended after Kyle got mad at her upon discovering that she was still texting with a guy back home and Sierra, in a later argument, called him a “queen.” In her confessional interview, Sierra pretty much said she felt sorry for Ashley for being involved with someone like Kyle.

“I feel for Ashley being in a relationship with someone like Kyle. I feel like Kyle’s very sketchy. That’s not what I want in my life.”

During their date, Kyle told Ashley about what happened with Sierra. When Ashley questioned why Kyle would pursue Sierra, Kyle admitted that he thought he had a free pass to “muck up.” “You’re a f**king a**hole!” Ashley yelled.

When things calmed down, Ashley said that she needs someone to take care of her after her gender reassignment surgery and that she wants that someone to be Kyle. Kyle told Ashley that he was willing to do that and added that he wanted to commit himself to her now, which made Ashley very happy.

As Below Deck Season 4 aired, some of Kyle Dixon’s co-stars have admitted that they were shocked when he told them about Ashley, not so much because of Ashley’s gender status but because he was pursuing Sierra Storm. In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish in early November, Kate Chastain said that what she really surprised her was that Kyle had someone back home while at the same time trying to woo Sierra.

“I think what really surprised me is he was having a relationship with another person…He’s been traveling on boats for a while. One in every country?”

Captain Lee Rosbach sarcastically wondered if there was someone Kyle hasn’t tried to get with while working on boats.

“So is there somebody he hasn’t dated, I mean other than you and I?…Wouldn’t they all compare notes? I mean, that’s got to be fun. I think they’re gonna compare notes. It’s on national television.”
