E News reported that West stayed hospitalized during Thanksgiving, and Kardashian spent part of the day with her husband.
“Kanye is trying to get better, but he has not been released yet because he and the doctors feel he needs more time to recover,” a source told the media outlet.
As for what their children North and Saint West know, the youngsters “just think their dad is away now,” added the source.
“Kanye wants to get better, [which is a] big part in this healing process. Kim is overwhelmed but is doing the best she can.”
But Kardashian is “strong,” an insider told E News, noting that she believes “this shall pass” and that Kim is “just holding things down like Kanye did for her when she needed support.” As for what caused the 39-year-old rapper to enter the hospital, the media outlet revealed that he “voluntarily admitted himself,” citing a source who revealed that West had been “working around the clock” on projects such as his tour and fashion design.
“Kim was concerned that he may have been taking on too much with all these shows,” shared the insider. “It was many things on his plate that started to pile up at once.”
Inside the hospital, Kanye has no computer or phone, per his doctor’s direction, added E News.

After visiting West on Thanksgiving morning, Kardashian went to one of her sister’s homes, reported the Daily Mail, which told readers that Kim’s husband had been “rushed to UCLA Medical Center following a reported breakdown on Monday.”
Kardashian then went to Kylie Jenner’s home in Calabasas to join her family’s Thanksgiving celebration. But there is speculation about what’s really wrong with her rapper husband, noted the media outlet, revealing that he was “reported to be suffering from a temporary psychosis brought on by sleep deprivation and extreme dehydration.”
As to the events leading up to the hospitalization, Kanye began “acting erratically,” when he was at his trainer Harley Pasternak’s home, according to a source cited by the Daily Mail. After a call made for a “disturbance,” West was escorted to the UCLA Medical Center. He was admitted under a physician’s advice “at will.”

A source told Billboard that West’s hospitalization was the result of “exhaustion and sleep deprivation.” The media outlet also cited a TMZ report that the rapper’s personal physician had called 911 and reported that Kanye “was suffering from ‘temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.'”
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Billboard that paramedics transported an individual who matched West’s description to the UCLA Medical Center Monday afternoon following reports of a “medical emergency.”

The Los Angeles Times told readers that Kanye reportedly was “handcuffed to a gurney for transport, which is standard procedure as part of a psychiatric hold.”
Also referencing TMZ’s report that the rapper “was suffering from temporary psychosis as a result of sleep deprivation and dehydration,” the media outlet revealed that he feels “under spiritual attack” in addition to “physical exhaustion.”

NBC News pointed out that the hospitalization followed “a week of bizarre incidents,” including the “abruptly canceled” dates remaining on West’s national tour, a retroactive endorsement for Donald Trump, and an occasion when he “publicly railed against fellow music stars Beyoncé and Jay Z.”
NBC cited sources who said that making the decision to hospitalize the rapper was “for his own health and safety.”
Through it all, Kardashian has “been making her husband a priority,” according to People magazine. Kim hurried back from New York City to Los Angeles and skipped her plan to attend the 2016 Angel Ball.
Since returning to Los Angeles, Kardashian “has spent most of her time” by her husband’s side, reported the media outlet, citing a source who revealed Kim’s concerns.
“As soon as [Kardashian] heard, all she cared about was getting to Kanye.”
Kim was “so worried,” added the insider, revealing that Kardashian did not “feel better until she was with him” and that she was aware “how hard he had been pushing himself.”
