Brittany Taltos, ‘Jersey Shore’ Star, Nearly Killed When Truck Runs Over Her Head

Brittany Taltos, who appeared on a few episodes of Jersey Shore and Bachelor Pad, had a pretty nasty sunbathing experience over the weekend. And no, it didn’t involve setting herself on fire with some Banana Boat sunscreen. The reality star was seriously injured when a pickup truck drove over her head.

According to the Huffington Post, Taltos and her twin sister were sunbathing in their front yard in Gainesville, Florida, on Sunday afternoon when one of her friends decided to use a pick-up truck to retrieve a cooler.

The 23-year-old had headphones on and didn’t hear the truck driving across the yard. Taltos told the Independent Florida Alligator that she didn’t realize the truck was coming in her direction until the tire was crushing her face.

Taltos said:

“I woke up with half a tire on my face. I thought I was going to die.”

The Independent reports that Taltos ears started to bleed from the extreme pressure. The incident also caused a “noticeable depression in the lawn.”

An ambulance was called and Taltos was taken to a nearby hospital where she received 15 stitches on her ear.

But things could have been a lot worse. Taltos said that she “dodged a bullet” and local police said that they were surprised that Taltos wasn’t seriously injured in the incident. Taltos received bruises on her face, a cut on her head, and some ear canal damage but she managed to escape the incident without any brain damage.

GFR Lt. Tracey Higdon said:

“It was very fortunate she was on softer ground where this occurred. The injuries may have been much worse, if not fatal.”
