Gwen Stefani And Gavin Rossdale Talk Co-parenting Post Difficult Split, Amid Rumor Shelton Embarrassed By Gwen

Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, who were married for 13 years, endured a painful split and are now figuring out life as co-parents while not partners. The Bush front man opened up recently about his plans for the holidays and also spoke about his wishes for his three sons, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2. Gavin shared that it is not his turn to have the former couple’s children over Christmas and that they will instead be with Gwen. He notes that he will instead be working.

“It’s not my year [to have the kids], so I’ll be in London doing [The Voice U.K.], because I’m a coach,” Rossdale told ET at A Place Called Home Gala in Los Angeles on Thursday, November 17. “I commute. When I don’t have my kids, I go to London.”

Although he won’t be spending the holidays with his children, Rossdale says that he is encouraging the boys to give back over the season. The 51-year-old stated that he hopes his sons will lend a helping hand to A Place Called Home, which is an organization that “aims to provide at-risk youth with a secure, positive family environment,” as Us Weekly shares.

“It’s a fantastic charity. I’m looking forward to getting my children involved in some of the things they’re doing over Christmas,” he told ET.

“Because, you know, for all of us who are lucky enough to have made these lives for ourselves, our children don’t get the perspective that maybe we grew up with. So organizations like this, who do such great work for the inner cities — South Central L.A. — my kids need to know about that stuff, so that’s why I’m here.”

As noted, Gwen and Gavin split following the reveal that Rossdale had been involved in an affair with the former couple’s nanny, Mindy Mann. The divorce between the two was finalized in April and neither asked for spousal support. Since this point, Gwen has seemed to make a comeback in every way. The No Doubt beauty landed a spot on The Voice alongside her now-beau Blake Shelton, and she even used the heartbreak and challenges of divorce to motivate her to create a new album. Not all songs on the album are based on her divorce, however. Some of the tracks are devoted to her newest love, Blake.

Since Blake and Gwen have become an item the rumors have been ongoing about potential weddings and baby news, yet all have been debunked. One recent tale involved a claim that Blake Shelton was ready to “pull the plug” on the relationship, noting that the country star was embarrassed about Stefani. Gossip Cop relays the fabrication that was spurred on by numerous webloids.

“According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Shelton is considering ending his relationship with Stefani, despite ‘multiple reports’ indicating that the couple is getting ready to ‘walk down the aisle together.’ The repeatedly discredited outlet claims, ‘The country music star is tired of constantly being embarrassed by Gwen Stefani and how she is continuously talking about their ‘perfect’ relationship in interviews.'”

The tabloid goes on to state that fans along with critics want Stefani to stop gushing about her perfect relationship and feel that Gwen is needy for attention, also insisting that the singer and mother of three is so desperate to get married and settle down with Blake, that the country singer has begun to feel “trapped.”

Of course the publication brings absolutely no evidence to back up such outlandish claims, and as Gossip Cop relays, the entire story is a false one. The gossip policing site spoke with a reliable source close to Stefani who states that the claims are absolutely not true.
