There’s a new baby girl in Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer’s life! The 24-year-old’s younger sister, Victoria, welcomed her first baby this week.
Leah first shared the news on Instagram Thursday with a photo of the new baby, Cami RaeLynn. Messer expressed her joy of her niece’s birth in the caption, which included heart eye emoji faces.
“Omgoodnesss she is so perfect! #CamiRaeLynn”
The “teen mom” went on to post a few more photos from the delivery room, including one of her with 22-year-old Victoria and baby Cami. Leah said her sister was a “trooper” during the birth in the caption which again included the smiling emojis.
Messer followed up the hospital photos with a post on Friday showing Cami at home and cuddling with the reality star. In just the few days since the baby’s birth, Leah is proving to be a hands-on aunt as she continues to share updates.
Victoria, who has made several appearances on Teen Mom 2, married Brian Jones in April 2015. The couple announced in September 2015 they were expecting a baby boy, but it’s believed the couple suffered a miscarriage. With the birth of Cami coming a little over a year after Victoria’s first pregnancy announcement, it seems the couple didn’t hesitate to try again.
Little Cami joins Messer twin cousins Aleeah and Aliannah, whom Leah shares with ex-husband Corey Simms, and cousin Adalynn, whom Leah shares with ex-husband Jeremy Calvert. The baby’s birth may represent a bright patch in Leah’s life following Calvert’s engagement announcement to girlfriend Brooke Wehr.
Radar Online reports Leah took to social media to share a cryptic post following the September announcement.
“Be with someone who prays for you not preys on you. A good man always wants his woman to elevate.”
The post is just one of many memes Leah has posted on Instagram since her divorce from Calvert. Fans may be happy to see the young mom posing with family as they welcome a new baby in spite of her recent controversy. As usual, the MTV star has been making headlines as people criticize everything from her parenting to her body.
The Daily Mail reported in August that Messer was looking painfully thin as she enjoyed a day at a water park with her daughters. With the stress of raising three young children, one of which has special needs, and dealing with very public breakups, fans shouldn’t be surprised Leah is flaunting a slimmer figure these days.
Also, in August, the mom was criticized for putting her youngest daughter in a booster seat in a photo she shared on Instagram.
While Leah battles for custody of her twin daughters, she also continues to update fans on the family’s life. She posted a collage this week showing all of her kids with the caption saying she’s missed all of her babies while she was away for Teen Mom filming in New York.
Leah may have had a tough time as a young mom, but only time will tell if sister Victoria struggles with similar issues. While Leah’s sister has appeared a handful of times on the show, little is known about Victoria. While Leah has been open in sharing photos from Cami’s November 16 birth, this may be the most Teen Mom fans have seen of the younger sister.
Messer also shared a photo on Instagram of what appears to be her daughters meeting their new cousin for the first time. Fans were given a brief look into Leah’s life that doesn’t involve the drama of her exes and custody battles as she happily shared photos of the newest addition.
