‘The Young And The Restless’ Rumors: Sean Kanan Hints At A Deacon Sharpe Return, Will He Return To Genoa City?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) might come back to Genoa City, ready to start a hot romance with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) in the coming weeks. Of course, his return could be linked to his ex-wife, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), or Phyllis Abbott (Gina Tognoni) as well, but it’s not likely.

The Young and the Restless head writer, Sally Sussman, stated that she wanted to find Ashley a hot love interest, TV Insider reports. For too long, Ashley has been used to prop up other storylines. Apparently, the new writing team wants to change that notion and give her a new man in her life and a juicy storyline. For many Ashley fans, this is music to their ears. They cannot wait to see what the Young and the Restless writers have in store for Ashley.

The question seems to be, could Deacon Sharpe be the man for Ashley? Would she tame his bad boy ways just enough to keep him from breaking the law in some hair-brained illegal scheme?

It wasn’t too much of a surprise to the Bold and the Beautiful viewers when it came out that Sean Kanan could show up in Genoa City. There wasn’t much B&B could do with the soap opera star after Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) shoved him off a cliff as part of her plan to get rid of him. Many people thought for sure that he was dead, only to find out he miraculously survived the fall from the cliff.

Deacon took a stand again Quinn and tried to get her to hand Liam (Scott Clifton) over to his family, but she refused. Liam later escaped when her son, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) discovered that she was holding him against his will for months in the cabin. Deacon was her support system and tried to convince her to leave Los Angeles, but Quinn refused. She tossed him aside when she fell in love with Eric Forrester (John McCook). B&B fans began to wonder if they would ever see Sean Kanan again, so the idea of Deacon showing up on the Young and the Restless is fantastic news.

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) mentioned Deacon Sharpe on GC Buzz by stating that he disappeared from Los Angeles and his whereabouts were not known, Celeb Dirty Laundry reports.

“Deacon Sharpe, former Genoa City resident, and one of Nikki Newman’s ex-husbands, has fled Los Angeles and taken his scheming to parts unknown…”

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Deacon Sharpe will show up in GC and will pair up with Ashley. Let’s face it; Ashley had not had the best luck with men. First, Stitch (Sean Carrigan) passed her over for her daughter, Abby (Melissa Ordway), and then Dr. Neville (Michael E. Knight) was written off the show after Chuck Pratt left the show. The Young and the Restless fans hope that Deacon will be different and won’t break her heart because the last time she was in a good relationship was when she was married to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

The Young and the Restless writers missed a great opportunity when they didn’t pair Ashley with Joe Clark (Scott Elrod). Even though they missed a great match up with Joe Clark, it looks like Ashley will finally get a man in her life. We just hope that Deacon Sharpe isn’t running a con by romancing Ashley Abbott.
