Andy Cohen Says Some ‘Real Housewives’ Will Be Mad At Him After ‘Superficial’ Book Bombshells

Andy Cohen is preparing for the backlash. The Bravo host’s third memoir, titled Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries, was published this week, and at this point Cohen is waiting to see which celebrities he ticked off the most.

“It’s a diary of two years of my life,” Cohen told Extra. “The book is chock-full of celebrity and personal stories… I name so many names in the book, but if you really look at it, I’m the moron, I’m the one that’s putting my foot in my mouth.”

Andy Cohen went on to say that his book, which is written in diary form, will take readers inside his relationships with a variety of famous people.

“A lot of celeb encounters, a lot of Housewives, people ask me all the time what my real relationship with them is,” Andy revealed.

“I definitely lift the veil off my relationship with the Housewives. I sent the book to all the Housewives last week, I’ve gotten a few texts… Kyle Richards texted me, she said she thinks ‘this one and this one will be mad at you.’ I haven’t heard from any of the New York Housewives.”

In his book, Cohen dished on a super secret lunch date he had with Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice right before she went to prison.

“It was a really emotional lunch,” Andy said. “I don’t think either of us knew if we were going to see each other again. You didn’t know what was in store; whether she was coming back to the show… we got a lot off our chest that day.”

Cohen also revealed that Giudice told him she had been hurt by some of the jokes on his Bravo show, Watch What Happens Live, most notably crack he made about how she would look in an orange jumpsuit. Andy said he realized his joke was inappropriate and he apologized to the reality star.

In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Cohen said the Real Housewives cast members all received advance copies of Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries.

“The Housewives are getting copies before the book comes out and, honestly, I don’t know who will be mad,” Andy told The Daily Dish.

Cohen is letting his true self shine through in his latest tell-all, which begins on the day of Joan Rivers’ funeral in 2014 and ends with Memorial Day 2016. According to People, Andy said his previous two books were heavily edited.

“[My first book] is kind of a memoir that is great fun and good stories, and the second was a diary, but in it, I would say that it was highly edited,” Cohen admitted, “I seem like a Ken doll with no genitalia. Nothing really affects me.”

But in his new book, Cohen gives a no-holds-barred look at everything from Michael Strahan’s abrupt Live With Kelly and Michael exit to the feud between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

“People are going to be pissed, because I’m really revealing a lot,” Cohen told Entertainment Tonight earlier this year. “I’m moving the goal post, and I just feel like if I’m going to do it again, it has to be bigger and better and dishier.”

While his celebrity stories run deep, Real Housewives fans will be most interested in what Andy Cohen has to say about the ladies of the Bravo franchise.

Some of Cohen’s juiciest dish revolves around Real Housewives of New York stars Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill. Andy had to uninvite the duo to a party his pal Anderson Cooper threw in his honor. In addition, Cohen revealed that actress Lindsay Lohan began speaking in a bizarre European accent during dinner with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards. And speaking of RHOBH stars, Andy tattled that several of them were “really dosed up on pills” before one of the show’s most combative reunion specials.

Andy Cohen’s book, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries, is available in stores now.
