Vanessa Hudgens Reuniting With Ex Zac Efron Makes Austin Butler Jealous

Vanessa Hudgens reuniting with her ex Zac Efron for High School Musical 4 is making her current boyfriend Austin Butler very jealous, according to iTech Post. The gorgeous 27-year-old actress could run into trouble for reuniting with Efron.

When High School Musical 4 starring ex-real life ex-lovers Vanessa Hudgens and Efron was unofficially announced, everyone went crazy about it. Everyone but Butler, who has been dating with Hudgens since 2011.

Vanessa Hudgens is apparently pushing Butler’s jealousy to the limits. There are even reports that the two even silently split after Butler found out about Hudgens’ plans to reunite with Efron on the set of High School Musical 4.

Vanessa Hudgens and Butler have reportedly had a rocky relationship since earlier this year. But since it was announced that the Grease: Live actress is set to work with her ex-boyfriend Zac Efron, Butler was reportedly enraged with jealousy.

Even though High School Musical 4 was announced in March, Butler and Vanessa Hudgens haven’t addressed the breakup rumors yet. Recent reports suggest that the gorgeous actress is ready to face the challenge of being on the same set with her ex-lover Efron, but nonetheless she’s excited about reprising her role.

Vanessa Hudgens and Efron started dating in 2006 and dated for more than four years. But rumor has it that Butler is holding back Hudgens from spending time with Efron. Butler is so jealous that he reportedly doesn’t even allow his girlfriend to talk to her ex-boyfriend off set.

Other rumors claim that Vanessa Hudgens apparently feels “suffocated” by her relationship with Butler because he is interfering with her freedom. Moreover, the actress is reportedly under too much pressure because Butler is making her choose between her career and personal life.

But since there have been no reports that Vanessa Hudgens has quit High School Musical 4, it could mean that the actress and Butler are indeed on the verge of a breakup. Rumor also has it that Butler’s strict attitude towards his girlfriend’s choices causes their endless fights.

The casting of Vanessa Hudgens and Efron is yet to be confirmed officially by either one of them. While it is expected that the two will reprise their roles in the new installment, there are also rumors that the upcoming film could feature a fully new cast.

Last year, Vanessa Hudgens opened up about the reason for her 2010 split from Efron, according to Capital FM. The two dated for more than four years before calling it quits in 2010. To this day, they are considered to be one of the cutest Disney couples ever.

But just like in any relationship, there was lots of jealousy involved. And that’s not surprising since both Vanessa Hudgens and Efron are exceptionally talented and popular celebrities, each with a devoted fan base.

In her 2015 interview with the New York Times, Vanessa Hudgens explained that it was her jealousy that ruined her relationship with Efron.

“I went through a phase when I was really mean because I was so fed up. Girls were running after him, and I was giving them death stares. Then I realized that not what that’s about.”

Vanessa Hudgens added that she eventually just couldn’t do it anymore because this jealousy was making her do crazy things. Shortly after their split, Efron reportedly developed problems with cocaine and alcohol and had to complete a stint in rehab.

Zac Efron is now single after recently breaking up with his girlfriend of two years, Sami Miro.
