Jinger Duggar Talks First Kiss With Jeremy Vuolo, Michelle Reveals Who Wears The Pants In Their Relationship

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo decided to save their first kiss for their wedding day, and fans of the Duggar family are likely wondering whether they’ll get to see it during the upcoming Counting On wedding special.

Two Duggars who previously had their weddings filmed for TV — Josh Duggar and Jill Duggar — kissed their spouses for the first time in front of the TLC cameras and their wedding guests. However, Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, decided to share their first kiss in private. So did Jinger Duggar follow in Josh and Jill’s footsteps by kissing her “Baaabe!” right after they were pronounced husband and wife, or did she pull a Jessa by taking Jeremy somewhere private for their first lip lock?

According to People, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo decided to kiss in front of their almost 1,000 guests, possibly because Jinger couldn’t wait until after the ceremony to smooch her husband. According to the 22-year-old virgin, she wasn’t afraid of looking awkward during her first-ever lip lock. Instead of worrying about the big moment, she spent most of her wedding ceremony impatiently waiting for permission to kiss her man.

“I wasn’t nervous at all. I couldn’t wait for it,” Jinger said. “It’s like he couldn’t say it soon enough.”

After they kissed and left the altar, Jeremy and Jinger reportedly spent some time alone. They then headed to their reception, where they fed each other bites of a “naked” vanilla wedding cake decorated with berries and grapes.

Perhaps Jinger Duggar wasn’t concerned about having an awkward first kiss because her husband knew what he was doing. As Starcasm reports, 29-year-old Jeremy Vuolo didn’t have the same sheltered upbringing as the Duggars. The former professional soccer player has confessed to drinking and partying during his high school and college days, and he’s hinted that he has a little experience with girls.

“I was part of the college party scene and was living foolishly,” Jeremy says in a “Testimony” video on his church’s YouTube page. “I began sliding deeper and deeper into the pits of lust and selfishness and pride.”

Jeremy has since changed his bad boy ways, and now he’s a pastor at a church in Laredo, Texas. Michelle Duggar says that her son-in-law is a great leader, so preaching is the perfect profession for him. His desire to be in charge also makes him a great match for Jinger.

“They really balance each other out,” Michelle said of the newlyweds. “Jeremy is a strong leader, and Jinger is such a gentle people person and a great follower.”

According to SheKnows, Jinger Duggar agrees with her mother’s description of her docile disposition. During a 2015 episode of 19 Kids and Counting, Jinger revealed that there was another person she looked to for direction before Jeremy came into her life, and that was her older sister, Jessa.

“Jessa’s more of like a leader, and I don’t like to be the one in charge with everything on my plate. I kinda just like to follow people,” Jinger said of why she and Jessa get along so well.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jinger also took instruction from her older brothers while helping out with one of the Duggar family’s many money-making schemes flipping cars. This is the closest Jinger has come to holding a real job, and she doesn’t plan on looking for work after she and Jeremy settle into life in Laredo. According to Us Weekly, she’s going to help Jeremy with his ministry instead. Because Jinger Duggar isn’t going to be bringing in any money of her own, Jim Bob Duggar thinks that Jeremy should get a second job to support his wife and the multiple kids that they will inevitably have.

But right now, Jinger Duggar likely isn’t worried about finances, and she just wants to enjoy being Mrs. Vuolo. Fans can watch the beginning of her new life as a preacher’s wife when Counting On: Jinger’s Wedding airs Tuesday, November 15, at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
