‘RHOBH’ Star Kim Richards Is Doing Well After Arrests And Relapse, Recently Welcomed Her First Grandchild
Kim Richards is doing well as she and her co-stars prepare for the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Although Kim Richards won’t be featured in a full-time role on the show, she is expected to be seen on the series as a guest star, and her co-star Lisa Vanderpump recently offered an update on her health and relationship with her younger sister, Kyle Richards.
“I think she’s doing really well. I’ve seen her and she’s looking great,” Vanderpump told Access Hollywood in an interview on November 8, via People Magazine.
Kim Richards experienced hardships in 2015, including an alcohol relapse and two arrests, but these days, she’s all about family. Weeks ago, her daughter, Brooke Brinson, welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with her husband, Thayer Wiederhorn.

“Now she’s a grandmother — she’s just got a new little grandbaby that she’s got her paws all over — so she seems really well, really happy,” Vanderpump continued.
In early 2015, Kim Richards relapsed and was arrested at a hotel in Beverly Hills, where she reportedly had numerous drinks before refusing to leave the hotel bar. Once police arrived, Richards reportedly kicked a police officer and was ultimately dealt numerous charges, including public intoxication, resisting an officer, trespassing, and battery on an officer.
Months later, after traveling to Mexico for Brinson and Weiderhorn’s wedding, Kim Richards was arrested for a second time after allegedly stealing over $600 worth of items from a Target store in Van Nuys, California.
After several rocky months, Kim Richards returned to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which began production prior to her second arrest, and filmed scenes for the show with Brandi Glanville and Yolanda Foster. As fans will recall, Glanville was removed from her full-time role ahead of Season 6 but appeared on a series of episodes. Meanwhile, Foster was featured in a full-time role during Season 6 but won’t be seen at all during the show’s upcoming seventh season.
As for Kim Richards’ relationship with her sister Kyle, Lisa Vanderpump added, “The sisters are in a great place, which it’s been kind of difficult, but they’re really — it’s good. So all positive.”
As fans have seen on the show, Kim Richards’ relationship with Kyle has been extremely strained in the past, and Kim’s friendship with Brandi Glanville, who has spoken ill of Kyle on numerous occasions and even advised Kim to cut ties with her, has certainly not helped the matter. Luckily, however, things between the sisters appear to have taken a turn in the right direction. While she hasn’t been seen with Glanville lately, she’s been spending time with Kyle and other members of her family in recent weeks.

Following the birth of her first grandchild, Kim Richards shared her baby news with her fans on Instagram.
“Our little Hucksley has arrived!” she wrote with a photo of herself, the baby and her daughter. “I’m am so proud of my little girl. Watching her bring life into this world was by far the most incredible most amazing experience of my life! He is beautiful and perfect! I loved him before he arrived… and now… I’m over the top.. this feeling is unbelievable!! I’m so in love. I look at Brooke.. I look at him.. and I just feel so unbelievably grateful!”
