Gretchen Rossi Bonds With Kelly Dodd, Planning Return To ‘RHOC’ Next Season?

Gretchen Rossi was fired from The Real Housewives of Orange County a few years ago after she proposed to her boyfriend, Slade Smiley, on the show. Gretchen chose not to invite any of her co-stars to the proposal because she wanted to keep the moment special between them. In other words, Rossi just invited her friends and family to the proposal. During the reunion special for The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gretchen’s co-stars called the proposal empty and staged. Sadly, Rossi lost some friends that day.

According to a new Instagram post, Gretchen Rossi is now revealing that she’s easing herself into the Real Housewives of Orange County group again and she’s starting with Vicki Gunvalson. Even though Vicki and Rossi were not exactly friends while filming, Gunvalson reached out to Rossi when she had no friends after the Brooks Ayers cancer scandal. Surprisingly, Gretchen decided to forgive her, and it sounds like she’s making even more friends these days.

Gretchen has revealed that she’s having a blast hanging out with some of her old friends from The Real Housewives of Orange County years, and she recently decided to give Kelly Dodd a chance to hang out. Maybe Gretchen Rossi trusts Vicki’s opinion that Kelly is a great friend, as the two quickly hit it off.

“So glad this girl called me to come meet her for lunch a few months back! Ever since then it’s been nothing but fun and laughter….. #FastFriends #SheIsFunny #BdayCelebration,” Gretchen wrote on Instagram, sharing a picture of herself with newcomer Kelly Dodd.

It sounds like Rossi isn’t exactly experiencing the same Dodd that the current cast on The Real Housewives of Orange County is experiencing. Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, and Heather Dubrow would probably argue that Kelly has some anger management issues and can’t take responsibility for her actions. Even though Kelly’s friend, Meghan King Edmonds, would argue that Kelly wasn’t exactly the only guilty party in this matter, Shannon, Tamra and Heather stand united together against Dodd and Vicki. At least now she has Gretchen Rossi on her side.

“Don’t listen to those negative comments, Kelly is a great person. Negative people always have hate in them. You’re a great person Gretchen don’t let the haters rule you,” one person wrote to Gretchen Rossi after seeing her bond with Kelly Dodd, while another added, “Love you, but hate her, she is so rude insensitive and just flat out mean!!!!!”

It sounds like not everyone can agree that Kelly is indeed a great person to hang around, but Gretchen Rossi seems to have an open heart and won’t judge people based on how they are portrayed on The Real Housewives of Orange County, as she knows how that feels. Instead, she would rather take her time and get to know Kelly for herself. And since she’s now close with both Vicki Gunvalson and Lizzie Rovsek again, it sounds like Bravo could bring all of these ladies back for a full-on showdown.

But one can imagine that some people wouldn’t want to see Gretchen Rossi return to the show. While Heather may simply do an eye roll, Tamra Judge would probably not be too happy. While she doesn’t seem like the person who would threaten to leave the show, she may walk out of the party where the confrontation takes place.
