Is Gwen Stefani getting help from Blake Shelton to permanently remove Miley Cyrus from The Voice?

NBC has already confirmed that they are replacing Miley Cyrus with Gwen for Season 12 next year, with plans to bring her back for the 13th season of the show. But according to OK! magazine, as cited by Gossip Cop, Stefani is hatching a plan that’ll keep Miley off the competition for good, strongly implying that she clearly doesn’t like the “Wrecking Ball” singer.

A source for the outlet claims that Gwen Stefani doesn’t want to be overshadowed by Miley Cyrus and hates to share the limelight with artists like the 23-year-old.

In order to keep Miley off the show, Blake and Gwen Stefani are allegedly talking to producers, making subtle hints that they don’t want Cyrus to return for the 13th season. Both mentors are allegedly persuading execs at the network to side with their plans to either keep Gwen on the show for good or have her replaced with someone other than Miley.

“Gwen doesn’t want to share the pop-music spotlight with Miley,” a source gushed. “But it’s mostly because she and Blake see this as their show — they fell in love on the set, and they want to keep working together.”

“They’re both dropping hints to the producers about how much happier they’d be without Miley in the mix. It’s obnoxious, but they’re only thinking of themselves right now. Gwen Stefani would love it if Miley would just drop out. They feel she’s in the way, and they don’t try to hide it.”

This wouldn’t be the first time allegations concerning Gwen Stefani’s alleged hatred for Miley Cyrus have made headlines.

When Miley was first announced to be a mentor on the hit show, Stefani was said to have been furious, OK! magazine alleges, with sources going as far as to insinuate that the “Hollaback Girl” singer felt threatened by Cyrus.

One of Gwen’s biggest worries became that Miley could potentially make moves on Blake Shelton — a rumor that has strongly been denied by Stefani’s rep.

Fans have since taken to social media, sharing their thoughts on Gwen Stefani’s reported plans to have Miley Cyrus permanently ditched from the show, calling the sneaky attack “nasty” and “childish.”

A source for OK! magazine concludes by saying that “Miley would be crushed if she knew. She thinks they like her!”

As of right now, Miley is very much still returning for Season 13, but if Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have it their way, the initial decision to have her back in the near future could be overruled in favor of Stefani’s request.

After all, Gwen is very much aware that her relationship with Blake is pulling in great ratings for the show, so she somewhat gets to have a say on what happens on The Voice.

News of Gwen Stefani’s alleged plans to have Miley Cyrus fired from the show comes just weeks after reports claimed the singer is planning to marry Blake during the Christmas holiday.

The couple has been planning their ceremony since the beginning of summer, with sources alleging that Stefani would strongly consider the idea of having another child.

Despite her age, Gwen has reportedly grown to the idea of having at least one baby with Blake Shelton, knowing that the country star would eventually want to start a family of his own.
