Justin Bieber And Ed Sheeran Compete For Selena Gomez, And Taylor Swift Is Involved!

Justin Bieber never had to compete with Ed Sheeran before when it came to wooing Selena Gomez during their years together. But now new reports are revealing that’s just what is happening, with both Bieber and Sheeran as rivals for the pop princess while she is in rehab. Ed has one major advantage, however, because he is close friends with Selena’s pal Taylor Swift, who is rumored to have arranged the hookup between Sheeran and Gomez.

However, MTV News revealed that Bieber just might have an advantage beyond his long history with the “Kill ‘Em with Kindness” singer, because Justin allegedly is paying for her treatments.

“Justin still wants Sel in his life and is even paying for her recent stay in rehab, after she cancelled the remaining dates of her Revival World Tour and was being treated for anxiety, depression and panic attacks,” MTV News told readers, citing a source who revealed the details.

“[Justin has] been sending her hundreds of thousands to pay for everything from private jet bills to the recent stay in rehab.”

As for why Bieber chose to take that step, the insider explained that it is Justin’s “way of staying in her life, as well as making himself feel less guilty for screwing her over.”

However, when it comes to the part of the report that Bieber is paying for Gomez’s stay at a treatment facility, Gossip Cop investigated, seeking information from what the media outlet describes as “a source close to the songstress.” That insider claims it is “untrue” that Justin is sending money to “Same Old Love” singer for her treatment for “anything else.”

But does Bieber still care about his former girlfriend?

Justin is currently touring, but he took time to visit Selena in rehab, according to the Latin Times, which revealed to readers just how much Bieber still cares for his former girlfriend.

“Although her family is trying their best to keep Bieber away…he just can’t stay away.”

The media outlet also noted that Justin is rumored to have “been with Selena often” while she remains at a treatment facility. As the Inquisitr reported, however, Gomez’s family allegedly blames Bieber for her “downward spiral,” telling him to “stay far, far away.”

But another reported visitor to Selena in rehab doesn’t seem to face so much controversy as Justin. In addition to Bieber, Ed Sheeran is on the list of celebrities who allegedly visited her at her treatment facility. Ed and the “Heart Wants What It Wants” songstress have Taylor Swift as a mutual friend, and she reportedly arranged the hookup, according to EnStars.

Gomez and Ed don’t have a cute couple nickname yet like Justin and Selena did with Jelena (Edlena? Sheerez?), but EnStars cited a source’s revelation that Ed visited her in rehab.

In addition, Sheeran and Gomez reportedly are dating, and the source revealed that before she entered rehab, she and Ed were allegedly seen “getting cozy” with each other during one of Taylor’s concerts.

Moreover, Swift felt inspired to suggest that Selena and Sheeran “team up” and collaborate, according to SugarScape. The media outlet also reported that Ed and the songstress were seen “hanging out” prior to her stay in rehab at a hot spot in Hollywood, citing a source who clarified Taylor’s involvement.

“It was Taylor that suggested the pair team up.”

Swift had great success with Sheeran herself on one of her albums, pointed out the insider. Consequently, Taylor feels that Ed would “be a perfect songwriting partner for Selena,” added the source.

As for whom Swift would choose as the dream date for her best friend, given the choice between Bieber and Sheeran? Justin himself made the decision easy when he recently sided with Kanye West against Taylor.

Swift and Kanye have a long-running feud, and despite Justin’s on-again, off-again romance with Taylor’s best friend Selena, Bieber made it clear that he’s on Team West, reported Uproxx.

Prior to exiting Instagram, Justin posted a picture of him FaceTiming with Kanye.

“Taylor Swift what up,” mocked the Biebs.
