Val and Laurie On ‘DWTS’: Val Chmerkovskiy Speaks Out On Emotional Breakdown

Val Chmerkovskiy and Laurie Hernandez have dominated the competition on this season of Dancing With The Stars, and she’s a clear favorite to win the entire thing. Val and Laurie have gotten perfect scores, and she never ceases to amaze viewers with her acting, her dancing, and her overall performance. And it sounds like her dance partner was even choked up about the entire experience, as he broke down crying on Monday’s episode of Dancing With The Stars. Laurie didn’t know why Val was crying, but he later explained that his paternal instincts were kicking in.

According to a new tweet, Val Chmerkovskiy and Laurie Hernandez had some sweet words for one another after getting through another emotional week. This week was Halloween week, and during their rehearsal, Val broke down and started crying. Laurie didn’t know what was happening, but she wrote a sweet message to Val on Twitter after the show came to an end on Monday night.

“Blessed to have Val as my partner. So humble and passionate about not only dance but life itself. thanks for all you do Val,” Laurie wrote on her Twitter, to which Val replied, “You’re the absolute bestest kid. Love you dearly. let’s end strong, and bring this thing home :)”

Many viewers were surprised that Val broke down during Monday’s episode of Dancing With The Stars, especially because they usually have a lot of fun and it isn’t the professional dancers that usually break down in tears.

“I’ve been watching this show for awhile and I’ve never seen Val like that. That was beautiful,” one viewer wrote back to them both after watching Monday’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, where Val completely broke down.

Val Chmerkovskiy also shared a picture on Instagram of them on the dance floor, sharing that he just wants to have fun on the show. He was super proud of the way Laurie performed, and he encouraged her to keep going. And his message was super sweet.

“And that’s all that matters. keep smiling. keep dreaming. keep living life with the love and gratitude that you already naturally possess. beautiful dance. beautiful night. i’m really proud of you #TeamValaur #DWTS,” Val wrote on his Instagram after the episode aired on Monday, sharing his excitement over how well they are doing on the show, which sparked many reactions, especially over him breaking down on the show.

Even though Val and Laurie had an emotional time on the show, it sounds like some viewers noticed that Val had grown as a person. Some people even reached out to him, sharing that they really appreciated him showing his feelings and breaking down. And some people even pointed out that he had grown as a person.

“Val you spoke through your heart & want Laurie to have the best experience – she is young & looks up to you for guidance, experience & true friendship! You have given that to her like a sister! Enjoy those times! Innocence is soooo lost in our society. Thank you for the emotional tears,” one person replied to Val, while another added, “I told you this a year ago, but after the package and the dance, tonight, you have grown into an amazing man. Watching you from the beginning of your career on DWTS to now!! You leave your heart on the dance floor and with each partner. (Old enough to be your Mom, reminds me of my son! I know your parents are very proud).”
